Opportunity Overview

The IT Infrastructure & Operations Portfolio Manager is responsible for providing a clear, prioritized view of Teradyne's Infrastructure & Operations project portfolio while helping ensure initiatives are delivered on time, on scope, and on budget. Reporting to the Global Head of IT Infrastructure & Operations, this role connects I&O strategy, project execution, governance, and financial performance. The position partners closely with IT Business Management Office, Finance, Procurement, and engineering teams to strengthen portfolio discipline, budget stewardship, and stakeholder visibility across the organization.
  • Lead the end-to-end portfolio view for active and planned Infrastructure & Operations initiatives across infrastructure, cloud, network, data center, collaboration services, and operations.
  • Develop and sustain portfolio governance, including intake, prioritization, stage-gating, resource alignment, dependency tracking, and risk escalation.
  • Collaborate with IT BMO, Finance, Procurement, IT Asset Management, and I&O engineering teams to support monthly business reviews, functional reviews, and executive reporting.
  • Build and maintain consistent project and program management standards, templates, cadence, dashboards, and reporting practices across the I&O organization.
  • Support budget planning, forecasting, monthly tracking, accruals, variance analysis, and cost optimization across operating and capital spend.
  • Partner with vendors, Procurement, and IT Asset Management to coordinate renewals, statements of work, purchase orders, licensing commitments, and vendor performance visibility.
  • Mentor project owners and technical teams on planning, scheduling, milestone tracking, status reporting, and delivery accountability.
  • Ensure portfolio, project, and financial risks are identified early, communicated clearly, and driven toward timely resolution.

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7+ years of IT experience, including 3+ years in a PMO, portfolio management, program management, or IT business operations role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing an IT project or program portfolio and driving multiple concurrent initiatives to completion.
  • Strong IT financial management experience, including budget planning, forecasting, variance analysis, reporting, and cost optimization.
  • Working knowledge of Infrastructure & Operations domains, including infrastructure, cloud, network, data center, collaboration/Microsoft 365, and IT service management.
  • Proficiency with project, portfolio, and reporting tools such as Smartsheet, Jira/Jira Service Management, Microsoft 365, Power BI, or Excel.
  • Strong vendor, contract, procurement coordination, software licensing, and IT asset management awareness.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, executive reporting, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and guide project owners and technical teams on project management practices and delivery accountability.
  • Preferred: PMP, PgMP, PfMP, PRINCE2, ITIL Foundation, CSM, or PMI-ACP certification.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting a Business Management Office, Monthly Business Review governance model, executive-level reporting, Technology Business Management, or IT financial management practices.

Compensation

The base salary range for this role is $132,000 - $211,300. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.

Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.

Sales Incentive Plan: This job is additionally eligible for participation in the organization's sales incentive plan.
