Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Infrastructure Maturity & Assessment to lead rigorous baseline assessments and maturity evaluations of enterprise infrastructure estates, translating findings into financially grounded future-state roadmaps that clients can fund and execute. This role is built for advisors who bring genuine depth across infrastructure domains — people who know what good looks like across modern practice, can measure the gap with precision, and can build the TCO and investment cases that turn an assessment into a board-level decision. The output of this work is not a report: it is a prioritized, costed roadmap that a client organization can commit to and a delivery team can run. - Run infrastructure maturity assessments — applying structured maturity models across compute, network, storage, cloud, operations, and tooling to establish a credible, evidence-based baseline of where a client currently sits against modern practice - Define the future state — translating assessment findings into a well-reasoned target architecture and operating model that reflects both best-practice ambition and the commercial and organizational constraints of the client - Build the financial case — developing TCO models, infrastructure rationalization business cases, and investment scenarios that quantify the cost of current-state technical debt alongside the financial return of modernization - Construct the roadmap — producing phased, prioritized transformation roadmaps that sequence initiatives by value, risk, and dependency, with clear investment requirements and measurable outcomes at each stage - Present findings to CIO and senior technology audiences — communicating assessment outcomes, maturity gaps, and investment recommendations with the clarity and credibility needed to drive executive sponsorship and funding approval - Develop and maintain Accenture's assessment methodology and maturity frameworks — keeping benchmarks current against evolving cloud, automation, and operational practice, and codifying findings into reusable intellectual property - Support business development — using assessment engagements as the entry point for longer transformation programs, shaping downstream delivery proposals and maintaining client relationships through the advisory-to-execution handoff Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 25% to 100% depending on business need and client requirements. Required Qualificiations: - Minimum 8+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, infrastructure architecture, or technology consulting — with sufficient depth across domains to assess maturity credibly and benchmark against modern practice - Minimum 8+ years in advisory or architecture leadership roles, with a track record of delivering infrastructure assessments, target state designs, and transformation roadmaps for large, complex enterprise clients - Minimum 3+ years of experience building TCO models and financial business cases for infrastructure investment — including infrastructure rationalization savings, cloud unit economics, and the cost of deferred modernization - Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate’s Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience) Bonus Points If: - Experience developing or stewarding a proprietary infrastructure maturity framework — including ongoing calibration of benchmarks as cloud, automation, and operational best practice evolves - Hands-on experience building infrastructure TCO models — including familiarity with cloud pricing models, on-premises refresh economics, software licensing complexity, and the financial modelling techniques needed to make cost comparisons credible to a CFO - Deep sector experience in financial services, manufacturing, energy, or public sector, where infrastructure assessments intersect with regulatory obligation, operational risk, and multi-year capital planning cycles - Industry certifications across cloud architecture, infrastructure, or enterprise architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP, TOGAF, or equivalent); familiarity with frameworks such as CMMI, ISO/IEC 38500, or cloud adoption maturity models Skills: - Maturity Modelling & Baseline Assessment: Structured infrastructure domain maturity frameworks, evidence-based current-state gap analysis, and competitive/regulatory peer benchmarking. - Financial Modelling & Business Case Development: Full-stack TCO analysis (on-prem, colo, cloud), NPV/ROI investment scenario modelling, and financial quantification of the "cost of inaction" and technical debt. Future-State Architecture & Roadmap Design: Target architecture definition across hybrid cloud, network, and storage, alongside dependency-sequenced transformation roadmaps with gated investment milestones. - Executive Communication & Commercial Advisory: CIO-level risk-to-opportunity presentation frameworks and strategic positioning to convert baseline assessments into full transformation program engagements. Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired as set forth below. We anticipate this job posting will be posted until 09/29/2026. Accenture offers a market competitive suite of benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, and long-term disability coverage, a 401(k) plan, bonus opportunities, paid holidays, and paid time off.
