Required Qualifications- Typically 3-5 years of experience in cloud or infrastructure engineering, cloud operations, or infrastructure automation.
- Demonstrated ability to partner across teams and act as a liaison, helping internal teams onboard to cloud and understand their cost and usage.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (Microsoft Azure preferred), with working knowledge across Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Strong hands-on experience with cloud compute, virtual machines, storage, virtualization, and Linux and/or Windows operating systems, including patching and capacity management.
- Experience maintaining platform and host services, landing zones, configuration baselines, tagging standards, and naming conventions.
- Working awareness of cloud networking concepts (virtual networks, subnets, DNS, load balancing, security groups) sufficient to partner effectively with the Network team.
- Proficiency with Terraform and at least one scripting language (PowerShell or Python), plus Ansible/AWX, Git, and CI/CD workflows.
- Understanding of cloud IAM, RBAC, and least-privilege access sufficient to partner with the IAM and Information Security teams.
- Experience with monitoring/observability tooling, incident response, change management, runbooks, rollback planning, and on-call support.
- Strong technical documentation, architecture diagramming, and stakeholder communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications- Hands-on experience across two or more of Azure, GCP, and OCI.
- Experience with Azure Service Operator and Kubernetes-native infrastructure provisioning.
- Experience with backup, high availability, and disaster recovery across multi-region cloud environments.
- Understanding of compute, virtualization, and OS-level factors that influence storage design and performance.
- Experience using AI tools for log analysis, anomaly detection, or operational automation.
- Multi-cloud cost reporting, tagging compliance, and FinOps practices, including cost optimization.
- Relevant Azure, GCP, or OCI certifications, such as Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Associate.
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $90,000 to $112,500 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.

Your first focus is partnership. You'll act as a liaison across the organization, working closely with our IAM, Network, Information Security, Platform and End User Services, and Observability teams, and directly with application and business units, to help them onboard to the cloud, adopt approved standards, and gain clear visibility into their cloud cost and usage.
Your second focus is building. You'll help extend WWT's core infrastructure services (compute, virtual machines, storage, virtualization, operating systems, and Kubernetes) into the cloud, designing, automating, and operating them across Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. With guidance from senior engineers, you'll join an on-call rotation and make a direct impact on the reliability, security, and cost-efficiency of our environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:- Serve as a liaison that helps application and business teams onboard to cloud, guiding them through provisioning, approved standards, and self-service patterns.
- Maintain the cloud platform internal teams rely on, including standardized landing zones, tagging, and configuration baselines.
- Partner across teams such as Network, IAM, Information Security, and Observability, along with other engineering and business-unit teams, to bring the right controls, services, and support to each workload.
- Give teams visibility into their cloud cost and usage patterns, partnering with Finance/FinOps to surface optimization and right-sizing opportunities.
- Design, build, and operate core cloud infrastructure (compute, virtual machines, storage, virtualization, and Linux/Windows operating systems) across Azure, GCP, and OCI.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code and automation (Terraform, Ansible/AWX, PowerShell, Python, Git, and CI/CD) to standardize provisioning and reduce manual effort.
- Work with the IAM and Information Security teams to ensure identity, access, and security controls are rolled out, and with the Observability team to configure monitoring, logging, and alerting.
- Maintain reliability through preventative maintenance, patching, capacity planning, backup, and disaster recovery; execute change tickets with validation and tested rollback; and participate in an on-call rotation.
- Produce technical documentation, runbooks, and onboarding guides, communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
