Summary

You will serve as an INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the Program Management Office, Information Technology (PMIOT) (1531), Enterprise Business Systems Division (1530), Naval Shipyard Support Office (1500) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Help

  • You will be responsible for organization, planning, oversight, coordination, management and accomplishment of all work performed within the Cyber Security Department.
  • The incumbent is responsible for coordination, management, and oversight of the Command's IA Program.
  • Framework (RMF) (A and A) and Cyber Operations sections supporting environments, applications, and all associated hardware, middleware and software.
  • You will provide direction and oversight for the Cyber Administration, Cyber Risk Management.
  • You will development, review, endorsement and maintenance of Authorization and Accreditation documentation in accordance with requirements and current Navy Certifying Authority and Navy Authorizing Official guidance.
  • You will oversee Cyber Incident Response and Cyber investigations, to include supporting cyber security events, physical security, and cyber security OPORD/EXORD/FRAGORD as directed by the DIO ISSM.
  • You will manage preparation of planning and security documentation for assignments in accordance with department and local standards.
  • You will manage and provide guidance and procedures for implementation of mandatory planning standards.
  • You will coordinate security measures including analysis, periodic testing, evaluation, verification, accreditation, and review of IS installation at the appropriate classification level within the command or organizational network structure.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain the appropriate Information Assurance Managerial Level III (3) professional certification required by DoD 8570.01-M within 6 months of selection to this position.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position requires rotating shift work.


Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Experience with cybersecurity and information assurance principles, policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Experience in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, and requirements analysis.
  • Experience utilizing comprehensive knowledge of DoD, Department of the Navy, and NAVSEA IT policies, security requirements, and certification and accreditation processes.
  • Experience in performance management, project management, and analytical methodologies.
  • Experience with information technologies, IT acquisition processes, and commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions.
  • Experience integrating enterprise IT programs and collaborating with senior leaders and multidisciplinary technical teams.
