Job Overview

The Information Systems and Security Administrator is responsible to manage all aspects of information technology systems and security functions including, but not limited to, policies compliance/development, processes, audits, analysis, accounts management, incident reporting, training, accreditation facilitation and maintenance. The systems administration encompasses the setup, maintenance, configuration, installation, rebuild and updates of all computer hardware and software systems that make up or feed into the network. The security administration encompasses analyzing, organizing, planning, protecting and controlling all the security responsibilities of the program. The incumbent will recommend, implement, upgrade/change and ensure compliance with corporate and customer policies and procedures. The ISSA is available to respond to network outages, work stoppages and security/alarm issues on a 24/7 basis.

Pay Rate: $118,626 - $128,626

Responsibilities

Essential Job Duties:
  • Serve as primary Administrator for network, hardware and software applications.
  • Possess a constant understanding and awareness of IT requirements in regards to organizational and customer mandates, policies and regulations.
  • Develop, implement and manage a formal information security/information systems security program.
  • Develop an information systems security, education, training and awareness program.
  • Develop, implement and enforce information security policies and procedures.
  • Review and oversee all information systems security plans/SSPS (certification/accreditation).
  • Ensure adherence to established information security policies and procedures.
  • Manage and coordinate information security inspections and incident response.
  • Ensure proper protection and/or corrective measures have been taken when an incident or vulnerability has been discovered.
  • Ensure all users have the requisite security clearances, authorization, need to know, and are aware of their security responsibilities before granting access to the IS.
  • Perform risk assessments.
  • Assures effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software and related infrastructures.
  • Add users to a network, assign and update permissions and provide full support to end users for all IT related requests.
  • Manage the integrity of organizational servers, computer systems, mobile equipment and telecommunication networks, i.e. workstations, laptops, monitors, printers, projectors, poly-com/conferencing, and other audio visual equipment.
  • Manage and coordinate with Property, site and corporate, the assignment, inventory, disposal and recycle of IT related property.
  • Develop, organize, catalog, and maintain all product literature, SOPS and reference/technical manuals related to the systems and security functions and equipment.
  • Act as SharePoint content contributor ensuring that all information stored or uploaded is compliant with corporate standards and policy guidelines.
  • Research, analyze, and recommend new/replacement IT and communication related hardware and software equipment and services including review of infrastructure, providing preliminary analysis, approvals, requisitioning and monitoring/tracking of associated costs with the goal to organize and prioritize work flow to maximize inter-departmental efficiencies.
  • Identifies process improvements and develops implementation plans.
  • Establishes and maintains good working relationships with Government and internal customers.
  • Works professionally and collaboratively with all contract and company personnel.
  • Demonstrates initiative and problem solving skills to contribute to the successful completion of project initiatives and contract performance.
  • Supports other department staff as needed or directed.
  • May occasionally be required to operate Government and/or Wolf Creek-owned motor vehicles.
  • Adheres to the established company safety personnel and standard operating procedures and policies.
  • May supervise the activities of other employees as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Mandatory:
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Bachelor's Degree or trade school certification in Information Technology/Systems.
  • Combined five (5) years of experience working Tier I and Tier II IT System Administration, Remote Desktop Support, Active Directory, Microsoft Desktop Environments and Windows 7 or higher.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience working in an IT security administrator capacity or industrial security administration, preferably in the government contracting industry.
  • One (1) or more years of experience with UNIX and Linux based systems.
  • Possesses or able to acquire CompTIA Security+ CE within 75 days of start date.
  • SharePoint administrator experience creating, modifying, navigating and assigning access.
  • Knowledge of all office, computer and audio equipment including, but not limited to, telephones, copy machines, fax machines, printers, computers, receivers, projectors, web cameras, conferencing equipment, etc.
  • Enforce proper physical access controls and ensure proper security standards.
  • Experience identifying, evaluating and addressing IT issues to meet current and future needs.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs.
  • Knowledge of Government IT security requirements and processes.
  • Familiarity with vendor communications and Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Troubleshooting experience with use of hand tools and the ability to rebuild/refurbish/ diagnose/ image computers.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diverse situations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to draft policies and procedures and perform presentations and training.
  • Mature judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to pass pre-hire background and drug screen.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the appropriate level intelligence community clearance.
  • Possess and maintain a valid state driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
