SummaryJoin Mission Technologies as an Information Assurance Technician, supporting the Distributed Training Operations Center (DTOC) in delivering secure and reliable mission networks for the Air National Guard (ANG). This role involves implementing and managing cybersecurity strategies, compliance frameworks, and security measures to protect critical systems. As a vital member of the IT/IA team, you will ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information across multiple networks.
Key Job ResponsibilitiesDesigns and implements information assurance and security engineering systems with requirements of business continuity, operations security, cryptography, forensics, regulatory compliance, internal counter-espionage (insider threat detection and mitigation), physical security analysis (including facilities analysis, and security management). Plan, manage and execute all RMF requirements for the DTOC to include: Risk management strategy, policies, awareness/trainings, assessments, continuous monitoring, authorizations, implementations, and remediation; Manage life-cycle cybersecurity risk to Air Force information systems; Ensure DTOC IT assets are assessed for cybersecurity risk to the AF, subsequent residual risk associated with security controls implementation is assessed and mitigated with Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms), aligns with DODI 8510.01, and as documented in the RMF security authorization package for the AF IT; Ensure compliance of internal policies and procedures; and develop, review and complete interconnectivity requirement documents. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Perform the primary duties and responsibilities of an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for non-SAP mission networks. Perform duties and responsibilities of an ISSO for SAP networks when required by the Government.
- Perform the duties and responsibilities of managing the Common Configuration Control Board (CCB) process
- Manage a systems process that allows for systematic revalidation of RMF controls and continuous monitoring
- Assist in authoring and editing Cybersecurity related documents such as ISA, SLA and CIE
What you must have- 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
- Working experience in IT roles such as System Administrator, Network Administrator, or ISSO or related.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and tools.
- Must hold a DoD 8570/8140-compliant Information Assurance certification at the IAT II or IAM II level (e.g., Security+, CySA+, CCNA Security, or equivalent).
- Must have a current or active Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications- IT/cybersecurity related degree preferred.
- Current Top Secret Clearance
Physical RequirementsMay require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
