Information Assurance Manager (IAM)

What You'll Do

Lead Security Strategy & Innovation
  • Design and implement advanced cybersecurity architectures for aviation security systems, including CT scanning technology, network infrastructure, and enterprise software.
  • Champion secure product development by embedding DevSecOps practices across the lifecycle.

Collaborate Across the Organization
  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Corporate IT, and Compliance teams to ensure security is seamlessly integrated into all systems.
  • Act as a key advisor and leader in secure design, development, and deployment initiatives.

Own Security Governance & Compliance
  • Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and controls aligned with NIST SP 800-53, ISO 27001, and NIS2 frameworks.
  • Lead risk assessments and vulnerability management efforts, including POA&M tracking and mitigation planning.
  • Play a critical role in achieving and maintaining ISO 27001 certification.

Drive Audits & Certifications
  • Conduct security audits across Linux systems, hardware, and networks.
  • Support and maintain Authority to Operate (ATO) through adherence to the Risk Management Framework (RMF).

Be the Customer-Facing Security Expert
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers on all information assurance matters.
  • Communicate security practices, compliance updates, and risk mitigation strategies with clarity and confidence.
  • Participate in customer engagements, including international travel, to support security reviews and discussions.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications
  • US Person (U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident)
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 6+ years of cybersecurity experience, with a focus on software development environments
  • 3+ years in a leadership or management role within information assurance
  • Strong expertise in:
    • NIST SP 800-53, RMF, ISO 27001, NIS2
    • Security policy development, STIGs, and compliance frameworks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • One or more of the following certifications:
    • CISSP, GSE, CASP+, or CCNP Security

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the aviation security industry
  • Proven track record in risk assessments, vulnerability analysis, and security auditing
  • Hands-on knowledge of:
    • Linux systems (Red Hat or similar)
    • Modern networking environments
    • Databases, web servers, and virtualized systems
