The Opportunity:
Join a mission-focused team responsible for securing the Air Force IC Enterprise Cross Domain Solution (ECDS) and External Services across multiple locations as an Information Assurance (IA) Cyber Security Engineer. In this role, you will design, implement, and sustain robust security controls that protect both classified and unclassified information. You’ll help ensure secure operations in multi‑level security environments while supporting intuitive user interface applications and critical enterprise services. If you’re passionate about defending complex systems and contributing to national security, this position offers a meaningful and rewarding path.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and enforce security policies and controls for enterprise and CDS environments
• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability evaluations across cross‑domain and adjacent systems
• Apply Risk Management Framework (RMF) principles, including security control assessments, ATO activities, and continuous monitoring
• Ensure compliance with DISA STIGs, NIST standards, and Air Force IC cybersecurity requirements
• Monitor security events, investigate incidents, and support coordinated incident response
• Review and validate security configurations for user‑facing applications and support services
• Prepare and maintain security documentation, including SSPs, POA&Ms, and control matrices
• Work closely with platform engineers to integrate security controls into system architecture
• Partner with civilian and military personnel to uphold physical, network, and cybersecurity procedures

Qualifications:

Required: 
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
• BA/BS degree in a related field (AA/AS and additional experience may be considered)

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Current DoD 8140 cybersecurity certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP)
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a customer‑service mindset
• Extensive experience with system/server hardware, operating systems, software applications, and network connectivity
• Proactive approach to anticipating and resolving issues while optimizing resources
• Experience collaborating effectively with client managers and system users

• Experience with XACTA
• Experience tracking and reporting CVUs
• Experience with ELK or Splunk dashboards

Desired:

• Administrator‑level certifications in technologies such as Microsoft, RHEL, Linux, or VMware
