SUMMARY STATEMENT
The Informatics Consultant serves as a strategic business partner who leverages healthcare data, analytics, automation, artificial intelligence, and informatics solutions to improve organizational performance and support business decision-making. Combining strong technical expertise with consultative problem-solving, this role collaborates with operational, clinical, regulatory, and executive stakeholders to identify opportunities, address business challenges, develop innovative solutions, and deliver actionable insights that drive measurable business value, operational improvement, and informed decision-making.

Data Reporting, Analytics, and Informatics Solutions (70%)
* Develop and deliver reporting, analytics, automation, and informatics solutions that enable business leaders to make informed decisions, improve operational performance, and achieve organizational objectives.
* Produce, maintain, and deliver accurate, timely, and consistent datasets, reports, dashboards, scorecards, and analytical solutions supporting operational, financial, clinical, regulatory, and strategic initiatives.
* Analyze, synthesize, and interpret complex healthcare and operational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance drivers, and develop actionable recommendations that support business decision-making and organizational performance.
* Develop and maintain standardized reporting methodologies, reusable data assets, automated processes, and information solutions that improve efficiency, scalability, consistency, and access to information.
* Serve as a subject matter expert regarding healthcare data, reporting methodologies, business rules, data definitions, information management practices, analytics solutions, and performance measurement approaches.
* Present analytical findings, conclusions, and recommendations to operational leaders, business stakeholders, and executive audiences in a clear and meaningful manner.

Strategic Informatics Consulting and Process Improvement (20%)
* Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic business partner by collaborating with stakeholders to understand business objectives, evaluate operational challenges, facilitate solution development, and influence decision-making through data-driven insights and recommendations.
* Evaluate business processes, operational workflows, information management practices, and performance outcomes to identify opportunities for improvement, automation, innovation, and organizational effectiveness.
* Recommend and implement reporting, analytics, automation, artificial intelligence, and technology-enabled solutions that improve efficiency, compliance, decision-making, and business outcomes.
* Evaluate emerging technologies and industry best practices and recommend innovative solutions that create measurable business value and support organizational objectives.
* Provide consultative support for strategic initiatives, audits, regulatory reviews, and performance improvement efforts requiring healthcare analytics and informatics expertise.

Team Support and Knowledge Sharing (5%)
* Provides guidance, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to analysts, business users, and team members regarding healthcare data, reporting methodologies, automation solutions, and informatics best practices.
* Contributes to the development and maintenance of reporting standards, business documentation, data definitions, and process documentation.
* Supports onboarding, training, and adoption of reporting tools, data sources, and analytical processes.

Data Quality and Validation (5%)
* Provide guidance, mentoring, and knowledge sharing regarding healthcare data, analytics, reporting methodologies, automation solutions, and informatics best practices.
* Promote adoption and effective utilization of analytics, reporting, automation, artificial intelligence, and self-service technologies.
* Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, collaboration, and data-informed decision-making.
* Support data governance, data stewardship, and information management practices that promote trust and confidence in organizational reporting assets.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Analytics, or related field.
* Six (6) or more years of experience in healthcare analytics, informatics, business intelligence, reporting, consulting, or related disciplines.
* Knowledge of healthcare operations, claims processing, reimbursement methodologies, data management, governance, analytics, and business intelligence principles.
* Experience working with relational databases, data warehouse environments, and large-scale datasets.
* Experience developing and utilizing reporting, analytics, business intelligence, automation, and visualization solutions that support business decision-making and operational objectives.
* Knowledge of data validation, quality assurance, reporting methodologies, and data governance principles.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, consultative, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
* Strong SQL and data analysis skills with the ability to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and areas for operational improvement.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and learn new technologies and processes.
* Demonstrated ability to influence decision-making through analytical insight, stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and effective communication.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Master's degree in Health Informatics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Business Analytics, or a related field.
* Ten (10) or more years of experience analyzing healthcare, provider, beneficiary, claims, financial, clinical, or operational data.
* Strong proficiency in analytics, reporting, business intelligence, automation, data science, and self-service analytics technologies, including enterprise reporting and executive dashboard solutions.
* Experience or familiarity with artificial intelligence (AI), generative AI, natural language processing (NLP), intelligent automation, agent-based solutions, advanced analytics, and emerging technologies, with the ability to apply these capabilities to enhance business processes, information accessibility, and operational outcomes.
* Experience supporting enterprise analytics environments, data warehousing, governance, information management, software development practices, and technology modernization initiatives.
* Experience working within integrated development environments (IDEs), including Microsoft Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code, to develop, test, maintain, and deploy analytics, reporting, automation, and data management solutions.
* Experience supporting Medicare programs, healthcare operations, regulatory compliance, performance improvement, payment integrity, quality initiatives, or population health efforts.
* Working knowledge of Medicare claims processing, medical terminology, CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and related healthcare coding structures.
* Proficiency in Python for data analysis, automation, data transformation, and reporting support.
* Proficiency in Power BI for dashboard development, reporting, and data visualization.
