Information Services Manager1.0 FTE - Permanent The Job The position is based in the Barrie Head Office and might require travel to branch offices throughout Simcoe County and the District of Muskoka. The Information Services Manager provides leadership and oversight for the Agency's Information Services operations, technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, projects and service delivery, and supervises the I.S. Administrator Technician team. This is a non-union position.
Qualifications - Preference would be given to candidates who possess a post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
- Five to seven years of progressively responsible experience in Information Technology or Information Services, preferably within a mid-sized, multi-site organization.
- Demonstrated experience and/or knowledge supporting and managing enterprise IT infrastructure, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, networking, virtualization, storage, backup and disaster recovery. This includes, but is not limited to, various versions of Microsoft Hyper-V, Veeam, Windows Server OS, Windows Desktop OS, SQL, SCCM, Azure and Office 365.
- Strong project management skills with demonstrated experience planning and delivering technology implementations, infrastructure upgrades, migrations and other IT projects.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, meet established timelines and respond effectively to changing operational requirements.
- Experience working with IT vendors, contractors and service providers, including evaluating solutions, coordinating implementations and monitoring service delivery.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices, including identity and access management, network and endpoint security, patch and vulnerability management, incident response, backup and disaster recovery.
- Previous budget management experience.
- Demonstrated business analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated organization and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively.
- Demonstrated supervisory or people management experience is required.
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and supervisory roles and responsibilities under the Act. Joint Health Safety Committee (JHSC) certification will be required.
- A valid driver's license and use of a vehicle are required.
Compensation The salary range is $89,097 to $121,574 commensurate with experience, with a generous benefits package, vacation and leave provisions.
