Full Job Description
Join a high-impact Continuous Improvement team driving operational excellence across a fast-paced, industry-leading digital supply chain organization. As an Industrial & Systems Engineer (ISE) II, you'll partner with site leadership to optimize labor, systems, and processes-delivering measurable productivity gains and sustainable change.
You must live in a location with convenient access to a major airport, as this requires approximately 75% travel. You must also be located within a reasonable distance of any McLane location, allowing you to work from a Distribution Center during weeks when travel is not required. Preferred locations include Atlanta, GA; Fredericksburg, VA; and Salt Lake City, UT.
What You'll Do
• Lead CI initiatives across multiple distribution divisions with a strong focus on labor optimization and throughput
• Conduct time studies and apply MOST methodologies to establish engineered labor standards
• Utilize Labor Management tools (e.g., Labor Pro) to analyze performance and drive accountability
• Leverage SQL and WMS data (Manhattan WMOS or Active preferred) to uncover insights and improvement opportunities
• Design and implement process improvements that reduce cost, increase efficiency, and improve service levels
• Manage projects end-to-end, including scope, timeline, stakeholder alignment, and results tracking
• Standardize best practices and sustain gains through training, documentation, and auditing
What We're Looking For
• B.S. in Industrial Engineering (required)
• 3+ years of experience in industrial engineering, continuous improvement, or distribution operations
• Strong experience with time studies, MOST, and labor management systems (Labor Pro or similar)
• Proficiency in SQL; experience with Manhattan WMOS or Active strongly preferred
• Demonstrated project management capability with a track record of delivering measurable results
• High level of detail, organization, and analytical rigor
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
• Willingness to travel extensively and work across multiple sites
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
