Industrial Mechanic- Millwright
Job description: Sofina Foods in Hanover, Ontario is seeking a Millwright, either Apprentice or Licensed, to join their Maintenance department on the night shift.
MAIN DUTIES- Teardown and setup production equipment as needed, includes completing changeovers as per production schedule.
- Troubleshoot and solve various mechanical issues as they arise.
- Provide support to other maintenance staff including Electricians and Power Engineers.
- Perform regular routines without direct supervision. Advise Production or Maintenance Manager of any issues that could impact production.
- Act as an advisor to Machine Operators if non-mechanical issues occur.
- Complete Preventative and Predictive Maintenance tasks as per the company's extensive PM Program.
QUALIFICATIONS- If licensed, must have 433A license
- Experience with fabrication
- Experience in the installation and repair of machines and equipment is an asset
- Experience in stainless steel fabrications and repair will be an asset
- Competent communication skills, both oral and written
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Ability to work after-hours tasks and with minimum supervision
REGULAR HOURS OF WORK- Night shift (10:00pm to 6:00am)
- Paid 30 min lunch
COMPENSATION- Apprentice: $35.64/hour (33.79/hour + 0.60/hour shift premium + $1.25/hour weekly attendance incentive)
- Licensed: $42.76/hour ($40.91/hour + $0.60/hour shift premium + $1.25/hour weekly attendance incentive)
