ResponsibilitiesThe engineer will support maintenance groups on a variety of electrical and electronic systems for a range of manufacturing machinery and related support equipment:
- Provide troubleshooting expertise to maintenance personnel.
- Identify opportunities for improvements for safety, maintainability, reliability, and operability and execute small projects to achieve these goals from conception through installation and commissioning.
- Specify electrical and components to optimize standardization and reliability.
- Assist in improving and executing the maintenance electrician training program.
- Manage machine control software applications.
Qualifications- A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Technology.
- At least three years of hands-on experience performing troubleshooting or engineering related functions with the following:
- PLC based control systems
- Three phase power distribution systems.
- Industrial instrumentation
- Variable Frequency Drives and induction motors.
- Skill with creating electrical schematics with AutoCAD.
- The ability to manage multiple projects while being available to assist maintenance personnel with factory floor downtime issues.
- The ability to self-motivate and complete independent assignments or components of group projects in a timely manner.
- The aptitude and desire to be a good student of Poly-America processes, equipment, and procedures.
