These teams include environmental scientists, safety professionals, and industrial hygiene scientists. Collectively, they provide technical guidance and perform planning, risk assessment, inspections and monitoring, training, and data management.

Job Summary:

The Industrial Hygienist is responsible for managing a comprehensive industrial hygiene program on a project. This role ensures all IH requirements are integrated into project planning, design, construction, and operations, maintaining compliance with regulatory and company standards. #LI-AE2

Major Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary IH interface with the client, supporting audits, governance reviews, and risk based decision making.
• Establish, monitor, and enforce IH requirements for subcontractors, including onboarding, field verification, corrective actions, and escalation.
• Lead IH risk management associated with hazardous chemicals, high purity systems, cleanroom interfaces, and simultaneous construction and owner activities typical of semiconductor fabrication facilities.
• Develop, implement, and oversee industrial hygiene plans, procedures, and methodologies tailored to project needs.
• Advise project leadership on IH related risks and trade offs, influencing planning and execution decisions in high pressure environments.
• Integrate IH requirements into all phases of the project, including planning, design, construction, and subcontractor management.
• Conduct risk assessments, inspections, sampling, and monitoring to identify hazards and verify compliance.
• Provide technical guidance and support for IH studies, emergency response, and incident investigations.
• Prepare and deliver clear documentation, reports, and training for project teams and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with ESH teams and other project groups to resolve issues and ensure alignment with broader safety and health objectives.
• Participate in meetings, as required, with customers, project team members, and contractors /subcontractors to advise them of industrial hygiene requirements that may affect their work.
• Help track IH performance and trends, prepare reports, and enter data in the Industrial Hygiene Records System (IHRS).

Education and Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent) related to industrial hygiene with 12 years of relevant experience; or an Associate's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline with 15 years of relevant experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills:
• Demonstrated experience leading IH teams and managing IH programs on large projects.
• Experience supporting semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, or similarly complex high technology construction projects is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence at senior leadership and client levels.
• Strong analytical skills related to IH sampling, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to lead IH programs through evolving scope, schedule pressure, and organizational change.
• Ability to work in field environments and support various work shifts.
• Valid driver's license.

Additional Qualifications
• Certification as a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge and experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Management System standards.
• Experience in sectors beyond construction (e.g., manufacturing, energy, technology) to bring best practices from diverse environments.
• Professional certification (e.g., ASP, OHST, CSP, CIH) or progress toward certification is highly desirable.
• Broad technical knowledge, science skills, and technical writing abilities.
