Industrial Engineer to oversee and drive critical projects within the organization aimed at cost reduction, throughput improvement, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial engineering, with expertise in managing operational excellence projects, leading lean initiatives, and sustaining daily management systems. This role is crucial in optimizing the operational processes and contributing to the overall business goals of Siemens.
You'll make an impact by: - Optimizes systems of material flow, value flow, and informational flow at the value stream or multi-value stream level to achieve manufacturing cost and throughput improvements.
- Analyzes production value streams, including collecting process time and motion data, to develop standardized work deliverables such as line balancing and Yamazumi charts.
- Builds value stream flow simulations to assist plant management with production capacity planning and realization of ramp-up & capacity expansion scenarios.
- Develops and drives conversion toward lean material flow systems including Kanban and other pull methods that synchronize material flow across multiple departments and overall improves efficiency with internal logistics.
- Removes systemic forms of Waiting waste by developing and driving informational flow improvements such as visual signals, Andon systems, 6S, and daily performance management enablers.
- Creates conditions for successful change by delivering training, enablement, and sustaining mechanisms for lean improvements.
- Maintains timelines (Gantt chart), project plans, and status reports for transformational initiatives (within area of responsibility) such as new line layouts, new system deployments, major equipment adoptions, or new product localizations.
You'll win us over by having the following qualifications: Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree or higher in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering
- 3+ years experience in an operations, manufacturing, or logistics environment
- Demonstrated experience with lean manufacturing techniques such as VSM, Standardized Work, Line Balancing, Pull Systems/Kanban, A3/8D, SMED, Six Sigma, and 5S/6S
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
- Experience conducting time studies, labor analysis, capacity analysis, and quantifying value to support business reasoning for improvement
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills including meeting/workshop facilitation
- AutoCAD or similar for layout design
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in electrical product manufacturing or assembly operations
- Knowledge of lean logistics principles such as PFEP, container sizing, rack sizing, runners/repeaters analysis, and milk runs/tugger routes
- Experience with SAP
- Experience with PowerBI or other data visualization tools
- Experience with flow simulation models and/or knowledge of queuing systems

The pay range for this position is $74,970 - $128,520 annually with a target incentive of 5% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
