OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Industrial Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate brings 5-10 years of hands-on experience in process optimization, production planning, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role will focus on analyzing complex workflows, improving operational efficiency, and driving data-based solutions to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze existing processes, systems, and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and implement lean manufacturing techniques, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement tools.
- Design and optimize production layouts, material flow, and resource utilization.
- Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of process improvement initiatives.
- Collect, interpret, and present operational data to support business decisions.
- Develop time studies, cost analyses, and capacity models.
- Implement performance metrics and create dashboards for monitoring efficiency.
- Support automation initiatives and evaluate new technologies for operational enhancement.
- Collaborate with production, quality, supply chain, and engineering teams to ensure alignment on process improvements.
- Document process changes and develop standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
- 5-10 years of relevant industrial engineering experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or operations environment.
- Proven experience with lean methodologies and continuous improvement frameworks.
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills; proficiency with Excel, Minitab, or other statistical tools.
- Experience with CAD tools and workflow modeling software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
- Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively across departments.
Security Clearance (Preferred)- DOE Q clearance is preferred.
- Open to candidates eligible for an upgrade from DOE L, or conversion to DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance.
Preferred Skills- Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt).
- Experience with ERP/MES systems.
- Familiarity with automation, robotics, or smart manufacturing technologies.
