What You Will Do:We are seeking an Industrial Engineer to join the Manufacturing Support team at the Collins Aerospace Decorah facility. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Industrial Engineering to enhance manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. From tactical problem-solving to strategic planning, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing production operations. You will support various manual or automated build and test operations within the Decorah Operations Team. This role will work with multiple product lines, but have a focus on the sensors and fire protection production activities.
- Define and implement technical solutions, tools, and manufacturing layouts to enhance efficiency, safety, and operational effectiveness.
- Collaborate with design engineering to improve manufacturability and refine product designs through technical insights.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives focused on cost control, inventory management, and Lean principles to drive process improvement.
- Solve complex problems and innovate new assembly processes through data analysis, research, and emerging methodologies.
- Manage medium-complexity projects, estimate timelines and costs, and validate cost requirements to support decision-making.

- Creating documentation around testing software and documenting the software requirements.
Qualifications You Must Have:- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
- Previous manufacturing experience
- Proficiency in driving process enhancements and operational efficiency through continuous improvement methodologies

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
