SUMMARY:
System: Resolve CMC503/SFC Web issues, manage Work Order modifications, and validate NG/Rework flowcharts through cross-functional collaboration.
Lean & Standardization: Conduct time studies for UPH/UPF metrics, perform "Gemba" walks, and create visual SOPs to align with Lean/5S principles.
Facility & Layout Design: Design optimal plant layouts, material handling systems, and warehouse spaces using AutoCAD/DraftSight; conduct cost-benefit analyses (ROI) for layout changes.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Resolve CMC503-related issues, including error message troubleshooting, system flow modifications, and new routing setup.
• Coordinate SFC (MISP) Web issues by aligning changes between the Production and IT teams.
• Develop system flowcharts and created comprehensive process improvement plans.
• Manage major system changes, including Work Order (WO) modifications and product switchovers.
• Verify NG (No Good), Repair, Re-print and Rework flowcharts, and validated the processes with cross-functional teams.
• Conduct Virtual Trial Runs prior to the launch of new production.
• Collaborate with the China team to align on system logic
• Design SFC (MISP) Web Report Logic with cross-functional teams.
• Modify, create and revise the SOP according to the standard process on Windchill
• Obtain all cycle time calculations and UPH (Units Per Hour) data for each machines for each product
• Conduct time study method in order to get UPF for each machine
• Conduct "Gemba" walks to verify that written SOPs match actual operator practices (Standard Work).
• Create visual SOPs (photos, videos, flowcharts) to replace the text document
• Design NG (No Good), Repair, Re-print and Rework flowcharts, and validated the processes with cross-functional teams.
• Layout Design, Space Utilization, and Space Planning for Warehouse, office, production and non-production line.
• Design and implement optimal plant layouts (Product, Process, workflow) based on production volume and product mix.
• Develop 2D layout drawings using AutoCAD, DraftSight, or equivalent software.
• Design material handling systems (conveyors, AGVs, forklift routes, racks charging area) to support efficient flow.
• Optimize dock and warehouse layouts for receiving and shipping efficiency.
• Identify bottlenecks and redesign layouts to relieve constraints
• Prepare cost-benefit analyses for layout changes and new equipment purchases (e.g., ROI and Payback Period).
• Ensure layouts comply with OSHA & Fire Marshall local safety regulations (aisle widths, fire exits, emergency equipment).
• Implement 5S as the Foundation of Lean Manufacturing.
• Coordinate machine relocation and line changeovers with minimal production downtime.
