Standard Job Description

Analyzes and designs sequence of operations and work flow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts; and establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel. May establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations. Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems. On the basis of these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods. May assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem-solver with expertise in lean manufacturing and process improvement, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering measurable gains. This role offers the chance to shape critical operations for the Missiles and Fire Control portfolio and make a direct impact on mission-critical capabilities.

This position is in Ocala, FL.
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 1 year of experience in an industrial engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
  2. Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
  3. Experience in continuous improvement initiatives and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  4. Proven track record in work measurement and time standards.
  5. Demonstrated proficiency in data analytics and statistical analysis.
  6. Experience in developing large layout designs for equipment and workspaces to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  7. Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing software.

1. Excellent communication skills.
2. Extensive experience in continuous improvement initiatives and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
3. Ability to drive strategic decision-making through data analysis, clear reporting, and executive presentations.
4. Proficient in using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for designing and analyzing manufacturing systems.
5. Proficiency in using simulation software (e.g., Arena, Simul8, FlexSim, SIMIO) or Excel to model, analyze, and optimize manufacturing processes.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00

The salary range for this position is as listed on the requisition. Please note that the salary information listed is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market(work location) and business considerations when extending an offer.

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
