Industrial Engineer Consultant to lead operational improvement projects for retail clients across the U.S. This is a direct hire opportunity for someone who combines strong industrial engineering knowledge with client-facing consulting and project leadership experience.

This role is ideal for an Industrial Engineer who enjoys solving operational challenges, improving workforce productivity, and working directly with retail operations teams in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead retail operations consulting engagements focused on productivity improvement and workforce optimization
  • Conduct operational assessments, time studies, and workflow analysis within retail environments
  • Develop labor standards, process improvements, and operational recommendations to improve efficiency and performance
  • Partner directly with client stakeholders to identify challenges and implement solutions
  • Analyze operational and workforce data to support decision-making and measurable business outcomes
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations with client leadership teams
  • Manage project timelines, priorities, and deliverables across multiple engagements
  • Mentor and support junior consultants and project team members

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering
  • 7+ years of experience in consulting, industrial engineering, or retail operations improvement
  • Strong understanding of industrial engineering principles including time studies, labor standards, Lean methodologies, and process improvement
  • Experience leading client-facing projects in retail or multi-site operational environments
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities

Travel Requirements:
  • Travel is typically Monday through Thursday at client locations across the U.S.
  • Candidates must live within reasonable commuting distance of a major U.S. airport
