Full Job Description
Electrical Foreman (Industrial)

Location: Chesterfield, Richmond, Amelia and surrounding areas

The Role:

The Industrial Electrical Foreman will serve as the essential part of successful industrial projects/services as well as providing leadership and support on our sites.

What You'll Do:
  • Promote and ensure all partners know Moore's Vision, Mission and Values and are striving to live by these principles.
  • Ensure protection of all partners by making safety our priority and executing well on all lead measures.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement and the Lean methodology by working closely with Continuous Improvement Manager and teaching your team to apply Lean principles.
  • Oversee manpower allocation within your respective area to ensure financial and skillset balance for all projects.
  • Initial scheduling of project as well as continual monitoring and update of schedule.
  • Maintain positive and professional relationships with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and engineers. Market Moore's Electrical & Mechanical Construction, Inc. to our clients and keep an ear to the ground for upcoming work.
  • Correct job set ups utilizing task codes
  • Maintain change order log.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are being used efficiently and taken care of on the jobsite.
  • Coordinate with Tool and Equipment Department to ensure job has adequate tools and equipment in workable order so as to construct the project in the most efficient manner. Ensure that tools and equipment not being utilized on the project are returned to the shop in a timely fashion for use by other projects.
  • Document all correspondence relative to all project matters with an emphasis placed on avoiding claims and protecting the best interests of Moore's Electrical & Mechanical Construction, Inc. and our clients.
  • Keep the Project Manager and Operation Manager informed of major developments, good and bad, on every project while making constructive suggestions to the Project Manager on improving procedures, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Cooperate fully and assist whenever possible with the efforts of other department members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Project Manager and/or Operations Manager.

You Bring:
  • 5+ years of industrial electrical experience
  • 2+ years of job site leadership experience
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
  • Exceptional leadership skills: dedication and patience are key
  • Able to read and interpret all job site documentation with no supervision
  • Ensure that installations are done per job documents and drawings
  • Provide a safe job site for you and your team
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Smart sheets.
  • Lifting as much as 85 pounds
  • Able to handle and control tools or equipment
  • Ability to work outdoors with exposure to weather
  • Ability to work at heights from ladders, lifts and/or scaffolding
  • Ability to work in cramped, awkward and/or confined spaces while kneeling, bending, crouching, or stooping for prolonged periods of time
