Full Job Description
Position: Industrial Designer II - AMZ15458.4

Location: Bellevue, WA

Multiple Positions Available:

1. Standardize and document scalable design and process elements across the global AMXL network using lean and process management principles.

2. Innovate fulfillment and transportation processes by applying experience in manufacturing, production, and distribution.

3. Scale successful pilots into standard solutions across regions and drive adoption of design innovations.

4. Identify and implement process improvements that enhance customer value, throughput, and cost efficiency.

5. Analyze data and observe processes to identify root causes of performance issues and drive resolution.

6. Incorporate feedback from post-launch reviews and customer insights into outer year planning cycles.

7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams-including Supply Chain, Transportation, and Site Launch-to support strategic network initiatives.

8. Develop building layouts, templates, and engineering designs for new site launches and retrofits.

9. Build and apply mathematical models to monitor capacity, utilization, and overall network performance.

10. Use analytical and quantitative tools to support data-driven design and optimization decisions.

11. Convert business requirements into concept designs and Building Requirement Specifications (BRS).

12. Lead execution of engineering pilots and emerging design concepts aligned with long-term network plans.

13. Address cross-functional gaps to prevent failure modes and ensure cohesive project execution.

14. Communicate complex technical information clearly to senior leaders and influence decisions with data.

15. Partner globally to share best practices and improve end-to-end outcomes for Amazon customers.

(40 hours / week, 8:00am-5:00pm, Salary Range $144477 - $160000)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

A Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or related field and 3 year(s) of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. In the alternative, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or related field followed by 5 year(s) of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Must have 3 year(s) of experience in the following:

1. Experience in using business/technical software like MS Excel, Smartsheet, Asana, BIM360, PowerBI, and AutoCAD software.

2. Experience in ownership/management of engineering design projects.

3. Experience in Design/Innovation Engineering, Manufacturing/Process/Industrial Engineering.

4. Experience in process design based on Lean Principles.

5. Experience in complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems including robotics and high-speed manufacturing.

6. Experience in Capital project management skills.

The pay range for this position in Bellevue, WA is $144477 - $160000 (yr); however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
