Project Overview:

Bechtel is building a semiconductor manufacturing plant in New Albany, Ohio. We are partnering with the North America Building Trades Unions and suppliers to create several thousand new jobs and work with local education organizations to implement new training programs that will support the future talent pipeline. Bechtel Manufacturing & Technology, Inc. offers engineering, procurement, and construction services for customers in the semiconductor manufacturing, electric vehicle, and data center markets. Job Summary:

In this role, you will lead a team and supervise superintendents and/or craft professionals on a project. You will direct craft professional activities and work schedules, and coordinate subcontract work activities and team development. Your oversight will ensure craft professionals have the tools required to be productive, comply with project policies, procedures, and job site work rules and procedures, and perform within specifications, schedules and budgets. #LI-CL1

Major Responsibilities:

Leadership/Supervision (Discipline Supervision up to 25 craft)
• Supervises and/or directs craft activities as assigned.
• Schedules work to be performed and reviews work accomplished by each craft.
• Performs general functions inherent in all supervisory field positions.
Planning/Productivity
• Determines workforce requirements.
• Coordinates established area operational plans.
• Coordinates activities with other disciplines or areas and clients' resident representatives, as instructed by construction management.
• Assists in the preparation of construction drawings and sketches.
Safety/Quality
• Ensures the most current design document is used to complete the work and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation.
• Ensures assigned construction operations and subcontractors' performance are in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budgets.
• Ensures the implementation of corporate/project policies, procedures, and instructions within assigned operations.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9 -12 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree


Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Executes indirects work safely and efficiently-strong working knowledge of temporary power/water, scaffolding, cranes, hoisting, access roads, fencing, laydown, and site logistics.
  • Plans and maintains indirects readiness-supports look-ahead planning, installs and maintains indirects to meet upcoming workface needs.
  • Leads indirects craft and subcontractors-directs daily work, enforces standards, manages manpower and equipment, and resolves field issues quickly.
  • Maintains safety and compliance-ensures indirects systems meet codes, specs, and site requirements; manages permits and inspections.
  • Coordinates with area superintendents-responds to changing field needs, relocations, and re-sequencing without disrupting production.
