Imagery Analyst

GEOINT • IMAGERY EXPLOITATION • ALEXANDRIA, VA • ON-SITE

Geo Owl is looking for experienced Imagery Analysts who are ready to contribute from day one. This is a hands-on exploitation role supporting a Northern Virginia intelligence contract - you'll produce dynamic GEOINT products, apply multi-spectral and soft copy exploitation tradecraft, and fuse multiple data sources into analysis that informs real decisions. If you have the training, the clearance, and five-plus years of experience, we want to hear from you.

Role Overview

The Imagery Analyst applies formal imagery analysis training and operational exploitation experience to produce GEOINT products that meet government standards. You'll exploit soft copy and multi-spectral imagery, leverage a suite of approved exploitation systems, incorporate multiple data sources, and deliver finished analysis with strong time management under operational tempo. The right candidate is ready to contribute with minimal ramp-up and can start within 30 days.

A Day in the Life
  • Exploit soft copy and multi-spectral imagery using approved systems to identify, characterize, and report on objects, activities, and events of intelligence interest
  • Produce dynamic GEOINT products that meet government standards - integrating imagery with multiple data sources to build a complete analytical picture
  • Navigate and operate exploitation systems and common office software to develop PowerPoint presentations, spreadsheets, and written reports that communicate findings clearly
  • Manage your workload effectively across multiple simultaneous analytical tasks under operational time pressure
  • Assist in drafting expert assessments across operational priorities on behalf of stakeholders as directed

Core Responsibilities
  • Produce dynamic GEOINT products to government standards using approved exploitation systems and software
  • Apply soft copy exploitation and multi-spectral exploitation capabilities to analyze imagery and characterize objects and activities of intelligence interest
  • Incorporate multiple data sources into analytical products to develop complete and accurate assessments
  • Operate REMOTEVIEW, IEC, NES, and common office software to produce presentations, spreadsheets, and written analytical reports
  • Manage workload effectively across simultaneous analytical tasks under operational time constraints
  • Assist in drafting expert assessments across operational priorities on behalf of stakeholders as required

Required Qualifications
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • HS diploma or GED with specialized training; minimum 5 years of GEOINT/Imagery Analysis experience
  • Completion of formal/advanced military Imagery Analyst training (Tech School, Advanced Individual Training, A School, or other MOS/AFSC/Rate granting equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of soft copy exploitation and multi-spectral exploitation functionalities
  • Proficiency with REMOTEVIEW, IEC, NES, and common office software including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Ability to incorporate multiple data sources into analytical products
  • Strong operational experience with the ability to contribute with minimal ramp-up
  • Strong time management skills; ability to manage multiple analytical tasks simultaneously under operational tempo
  • Available to start within 30 days with no anticipated onboarding delays

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge and experience with intelligence operations and drafting expert assessments across operational priorities
  • GEOINT Professional Certification (GPC-F, GPC_IA-II, GPC_GA-II, GPC_IS-II, or equivalent)
  • Specialized training from an intelligence collection and analysis school or program
  • Knowledge and understanding of the National System for GEOINT (NSG)

What Makes Someone Successful in This Role
  • You've put in the reps - you have enough exploitation experience that the tradecraft is second nature and you don't need a long runway to be productive
  • You're precise and thorough - your products meet standard because you've internalized what good looks like and you hold yourself to it
  • You manage your time well under pressure - you can handle multiple tasks simultaneously without letting quality slip
  • You think in fusion - you naturally pull in other data sources to sharpen your imagery analysis rather than relying on a single feed
  • You're ready to go - your clearance is current, your onboarding is clean, and you can be in the seat within 30 days

Is This Role For You?
• Great Fit

You are a trained, experienced imagery analyst with an active TS/SCI, solid exploitation fundamentals, and the operational depth to hit the ground running. You want to do the work - not spend months ramping up - and you take pride in analytical products that meet a high standard.

✘ May Not Be For You

This may not be the right fit if your clearance is not current, if you need significant ramp-up time before contributing independently, or if you are not able to start within 30 days.

Career Growth & Professional Value

This role keeps your tradecraft sharp on operationally meaningful work in a Northern Virginia intelligence environment. For experienced imagery analysts, staying current on operational workflows, tool sets, and multi-source integration techniques is its own form of professional development - and Geo Owl is committed to supporting your long-term growth within the GEOINT community.
