About the Role

The WearLinq IDTF Manager leads the day-to-day operational, clinical, and regulatory functions of our Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility in compliance with CMS, Medicare Part B, and California state requirements. You will drive innovation and continuous improvement, leading a team of Certified ECG Technicians to ensure they are appropriately trained and meeting quality and performance expectations, while creating solutions to enhance quality, cost, and delivery of services for patients.

This role sits at the intersection of clinical excellence, operational management, and regulatory accountability - ideal for a credentialed cardiac professional ready to step into a leadership position in the California cardiac diagnostics market.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Team Leadership
  • Supervise, lead, coach, and provide work direction to a team of Certified ECG technicians, including performance management, new hire onboarding, and cross-training. Run day-to-day operations of the lab, owning scheduling and ensuring all workflows are appropriately staffed.
  • Manage technician productivity metrics, queue performance, and service delivery timelines across all cardiac monitoring modalities (Holter, Event, MCT, MCOT, Patch).
  • Partner with Clinical Education, Quality Assurance and Customer Support teams to continuously enhance team capabilities and processes.

Clinical Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure 100% compliance with CMS IDTF performance standards under 42 CFR a7410.33, including supervising physician documentation, technician credentialing records, and written physician order requirements.
  • Produce and oversee accurate, consistent clinical documentation aligned with IDTF and regulatory standards; maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and PHI requirements; and lead continuous workflow and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain all technician licensure, certification, and credentialing documentation required for Medicare enrollment and California IDTF operation, including CCT, CRAT, and CCI credentials.
  • Manage the facility's CMS-855B enrollment, CPT/HCPCS code approvals, and any changes to testing scope requiring contractor notification or site review.

Physician & Customer Relations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for supervising physicians; ensure all diagnostic tests are ordered in writing by the treating physician and that physician notification protocols are followed for ECG abnormalities.
  • Effectively communicate ECG abnormalities by notifying physicians as required according to physician notification protocol, and perform quality assurance behind final reports delivered to physicians.

Regulatory & Risk Management
  • Maintain documentation of sufficient physician resources during all hours of operations to assure that the required physician supervision is furnished, per 42 CFR a7410.33.
  • Operate in compliance with all applicable federal, California state, and local licensure and regulatory requirements with regard to patient health and safety.
  • Prepare for and manage Medicare MAC audits, site visits, and accreditation reviews.

Qualifications

Required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Allied Health, or a related field, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Active CCT (Certified Cardiographic Technician) and/or CRAT (Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician) certification through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
  • Minimum 3-5 years of cardiac monitoring experience in a hospital telemetry, Holter/event monitoring, or IDTF setting.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of supervisory or lead experience in a clinical or diagnostic lab environment.
  • Strong ECG rhythm interpretation skills and the ability to review patient ECG data and algorithm findings for clinical accuracy.
  • Working knowledge of CMS IDTF enrollment requirements, 42 CFR a7410.33, and Medicare Part B billing structure (TC/26 modifiers, CMS-855B).
  • Proficiency with cardiac monitoring platforms and Office/Teams environments.

Preferred
  • Experience with ambulatory cardiac monitoring platforms from iRhythm (Zio Patch), Philips, Medtronic, Abbott/St. Jude, Boston Scientific, or Biotronik.
  • RN, or Paramedic license with cardiac specialty experience.
  • Familiarity with California DMHC requirements and CDPH compliance standards applicable to diagnostic testing facilities.
  • Experience managing remote or hybrid technician teams.
