Full Job Description
Micron's Boise High-Volume Manufacturing (HVM) team is responsible for delivering stable, high-yield semiconductor manufacturing to support Micron's long-term DRAM production strategy. The photolithography organization partners closely with operations, equipment engineering, and integration to maintain safe, efficient, and repeatable manufacturing. The Photolithography Process Engineer supports day-to-day health and capability of assigned, non-critical lithography processes and tools. This role drives established control plans and standard work, monitors manufacturing signals, and supports issue resolution and continuous improvement activities with mentorship from more expert engineers.
Responsibilities
• Execute established control plans and standard work to support stable lithography manufacturing.
• Monitor SPC, metrology, defect, and tool health indicators and advance risks appropriately.
• Support excursion response activities, including containment, data collection, and documentation.
• Partner with shift operations and equipment engineering to support tool recovery and daily priorities.
• Complete well-defined improvement tasks related to yield, output, cycle time, or cost with guidance.
• Leverage AI-powered tools and emerging technologies to improve productivity, streamline workflows, enhance decision-making, and drive operational efficiency.
• Identify and implement opportunities to utilize artificial intelligence solutions to optimize workflows and support business objectives.
• Utilize AI-driven insights and data analysis tools to support decision-making, problem-solving, and continuous process improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
• B.S with 2+ years semiconductor lithography experience or M.S in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field..
• Understanding of high-volume manufacturing execution, including SPC monitoring and response.
• Foundational knowledge of lithography processes, photo materials, and defect mechanisms.
• Ability to follow standard work, analyze data, and document results clearly.
• Willingness to travel internationally for onboarding and training purposes.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting semiconductor lithography processes in an HVM environment.
• Familiarity with 365 nm, 248 nm, or 193 nm lithography materials and processes.
• Exposure to data analysis tools, statistics, or DOE methods.
• Experience collaborating with operations or equipment engineering teams.
