Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced ICI Project Manager to lead the planning and execution commercial construction projects. This role oversees budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and quality control while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
Job Responsibilities:
The duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the full lifecycle of ICI mechanical construction projects, including pre-construction, execution, and closeout.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Oversee procurement of equipment and materials; issue and manage subcontracts and purchase orders.
- Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
- Manage change orders, progress billings, cost tracking, and monthly financial reporting, ensuring project documentation is accurate.
- Coordinate with general contractors, consultants, inspectors, and trade partners to maintain project momentum.
- Supervise field operations in collaboration with site supervisors and forepersons, ensuring productivity and quality standards are met.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to protect margins and schedules.
- Coordinate project activities, resources, and timelines to ensure successful project completion.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of project management experience in ICI mechanical construction (HVAC, plumbing, hydronics, piping).
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and cost controls.
- Self-directed with the ability to work independently as well as part of team.
- Strong knowledge of Ontario Building Code, mechanical standards, and safety regulations.
- Experience working in unionized environments and coordinating with mechanical trade partners.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical and architectural drawings.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Valid Driver's License.
