IT Infrastructure Consultant in ICAT (Information, Communication and Automation Technology), you will collaborate with a high-performing team delivering cutting-edge technology solutions that shape how people experience the built environment.
Your Impact- Deliver IT Infrastructure consulting across cabling, network and technology systems for diverse building environments.
- Provide contract administration for IT cabling, network and technology systems throughout project lifecycles.
- Conduct physical IT infrastructure audits and assessments, providing actionable insights for clients.
- Carry projects from concept through closeout, including narratives, schematic and detailed design, tender review, construction documentation, project management, construction administration, and commissioning.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement sessions and requirements workshops to gather technical and functional needs from a broad range of users.
- Translate stakeholder needs into tailored IT infrastructure solutions across multiple technologies.
- Advise clients as a subject-matter expert, representing WSP as a leader in IT Infrastructure design.
- Develop professional, client-ready specifications, reports and documents using MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Bluebeam Studio, Adobe Acrobat and other standard tools.
- Interpret and review design and construction drawings developed in REVIT, AutoCAD and related platforms.
- Participate in technical and project meetings with executives, end-users and technical teams.
- Coach and guide junior team members in producing CAD/Revit deliverables.
- Work independently or collaboratively with local and national Building Technologies teams and other WSP disciplines.
The Skills That Set You Apart- Minimum 5 years' experience in IT Infrastructure consulting.
- Experience with alternative delivery models (Alliance, DBFM, Design-Build) is an asset.
- Background in active networking preferred.
- Demonstrated success managing large-scale IT projects with commercial awareness.
- Confident in delivering presentations to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to obtain a Public Works and Government Services Canada Level 2 Security Clearance.
- Ability to work Monday-Friday (8am-5pm), with willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel to client sites.
CompensationAB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT:$85,100 - $112,800MB & ON:$77,700 - $107,000NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC:$76,900 - $102,100Disclosure:The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. The wage range provided in this job posting may be subject to change for business purposes.
