The ideal candidate is clinically skilled, team-oriented, and passionate about helping patients achieve optimal oral health through education, prevention, and comprehensive periodontal care.Full-Time or Part-Time Options Available:- The office hours are Monday - Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1 hour lunch)
Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive dental hygiene procedures, including prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, and preventive treatments.
- Conduct patient assessments, review medical histories, and document findings accurately.
- Take and evaluate digital radiographs according to state regulations and office protocols.
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide (if licensed and certified).
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, periodontal health, nutrition, and preventive care.
- Assist in diagnosing and monitoring periodontal disease.
- Collaborate with dentists and team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and treatment documentation.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and sterilization standards.
- Build positive relationships with patients to promote trust, comfort, and long-term care.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications- Current South Carolina Dental Hygiene License in good standing.
- CPR/BLS Certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and education.
