The Big Task

As an HVAC Diagnostic Service Technician, you'll specialize in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing residential heating and cooling systems.

Your job is to accurately determine what is causing a system to malfunction, clearly communicate your findings to the homeowner, and complete the appropriate repair to restore comfort and system performance.

You'll use your technical knowledge, testing equipment, system readings, and problem-solving skills to get to the root of the issue.

We want technicians who diagnose the problem-not technicians who guess at it.
What You'll Do
  • Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation equipment.
  • Troubleshoot complex HVAC issues using technical knowledge, system readings, testing equipment, and diagnostic tools.
  • Identify the root cause of equipment failures and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
  • Perform corrective repairs and maintenance to improve equipment performance and reliability.
  • Evaluate system operation and identify potential issues before they become larger problems.
  • Clearly explain diagnostic findings, repair options, and recommendations to homeowners.
  • Educate customers on proper system operation, maintenance, and care.
  • Complete accurate documentation of diagnostics, repairs, materials used, system readings, and equipment performance.
  • Follow all safety procedures, HVAC codes, and company standards.
