Full Job Description
At First Mid, base salary is one component of our Total Rewards program. Exact compensation is determined by factors such as (but not limited to) education, skills, internal equity, and experience. This position offers additional compensation in the form of discretionary short-term incentives (i.e. bonus, incentives, and/or commission). The Human Capital Management (HCM) Analyst will aid in the implementation, maintenance, and upgrades of UKG modules and provide ongoing reporting and data analytics support and technical training to company stakeholders. They will also ensure that data is accurately processed and maintained according to organization rules and applicable regulations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

HCM System Administration & Support
  • Maintain and support the company's Human Capital Management (HCM) system by assisting with the implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of UKG Pro functionality.
  • Ensure system configuration, employee data, business rules, security permissions, and related processes are accurate and maintained.
  • Research and resolve system issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions that improve system performance and the overall user experience.


Reporting, Analytics & Data Integrity
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance reports, dashboards, and data queries that provide timely, accurate workforce information to Human Resources and business leaders.
  • Perform regular audits to ensure the integrity of employee data and identify opportunities to improve data quality.
  • Assist with data uploads and conversions related to organizational changes, including mergers and acquisitions, while supporting ongoing business reporting needs through meaningful workforce analytics.


Continuous Improvement & Technology Optimization
  • Support the ongoing enhancement of the HCM system by identifying opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and optimize system functionality.
  • Research new features, enhancements, and industry best practices through the UKG Community, webinars, user groups, and other available resources.
  • Partner with members of the HR team to implement system enhancements and process improvements that strengthen operational effectiveness and improve the employee and manager experience.


Partnership, Training & Customer Support
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for managers, HR team members, and system users by providing technical support, guidance, and training on HCM functionality.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve issues, support projects, and ensure successful implementation of system enhancements.
  • Build positive working relationships while delivering responsive, high-quality customer service and support to all stakeholders.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years' experience in HR systems.
  • UKG experience is strongly preferred.


Skills:
  • Knowledge of HR business processes and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to manage confidential data.
  • Strong detail oriented with a focus on data accuracy.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills with an understanding of formulas required for data analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Proven record of setting delivery commitments and meeting expectations.
  • Analytical mindset with a strong ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple, high priority/visibility tasks and adjust to shifting priorities, while meeting deadlines.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as on a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to learning new systems and processes.
  • Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training.
