Position SummaryZachry Construction is seeking an experienced HR Manager to provide comprehensive human resources support at the regional level. The HR Manager will serve as a trusted partner to employees and leadership, ensuring HR practices align with Zachry's Core Values and commitment to a safe, inclusive, and ethical workplace. This role plays a vital part in driving employee engagement, compliance, and operational efficiency while fostering a culture of respect, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do- Serve as a strategic HR Business Partner to design and implement HR initiatives that align with regional and corporate goals.
- Act as a trusted resource for employees, providing guidance on policies, procedures, and employment matters with professionalism and empathy.
- Mediate and resolve employee relations issues through fair and transparent investigations that reinforce a respectful workplace.
- Lead onboarding efforts to ensure new hires are welcomed, informed, and aligned with Zachry's safety and cultural expectations.
- Process and submit employment changes including promotions, transfers, wage adjustments, and separations in a timely manner.
- Educate employees on benefit options and assist with enrollment and administration as needed.
- Maintain current knowledge of HR best practices, industry trends, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
- Champion employee engagement and recognition programs that support retention, morale, and team cohesion.
- Act as a liaison between employees and management to ensure open communication and mutual understanding.
- Provide bilingual English/Spanish translation support as needed for effective communication across teams.
- Partner with Learning & Development to implement and support training programs that enhance professional growth and safety awareness.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the HR Director or senior management.

What We're Looking For- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience in a Generalist, Manager, or equivalent role.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
- Strong working knowledge of HR principles, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in the construction or industrial sector preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion, fairness, and sound judgment.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR information systems.
