Full Job Description
Neo Security is hiring a Human Resources Manager to run the day-to-day HR operations that support our growing team, based full-time out of our Boston, MA office. You'll own the core people processes - onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, HR compliance, and HRIS management - that keep employees supported and the company running smoothly. This is an execution-focused role: you'll be the go-to person employees and managers turn to for HR questions and support, working within policies and programs set by company leadership.

This role suits someone who is organized, approachable, and detail-oriented, enjoys being hands-on with the day-to-day of HR, and takes pride in making sure people processes run accurately and smoothly.
What You'll Do
  • Own end-to-end onboarding and offboarding logistics, ensuring new hires have a smooth first-day and first-week experience and departures are handled properly.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including open enrollment, day-to-day questions, and coordination with benefits brokers/vendors.
  • Maintain the HRIS system, ensuring employee data is accurate and up to date, and generating reports as needed.
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions on HR policies, benefits, time off, and general workplace matters.
  • Support managers with day-to-day employee relations matters, escalating complex issues to HR/People leadership as appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, Massachusetts, and other applicable state employment laws, keeping policies and processes up to date.
  • Coordinate performance review cycles, ensuring deadlines are met and managers/employees have what they need to participate.
  • Process and track leaves of absence (parental, medical, personal) in compliance with applicable laws and company policy.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant employee files and HR documentation.
  • Support payroll processing in partnership with Finance, resolving day-to-day employee payroll questions.
  • Help coordinate employee engagement activities and recognition programs within the framework set by leadership.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in an HR generalist, HR coordinator, or HR manager role handling day-to-day HR operations.
  • Strong working knowledge of HR compliance requirements, including Massachusetts and federal employment law.
  • Experience administering employee benefits programs and working with benefits brokers/vendors.
  • Hands-on experience with an HRIS platform (e.g., Rippling, Gusto, BambooHR, Workday) for data management and reporting.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail, particularly around compliance and documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment, with the ability to handle sensitive employee matters with discretion.
  • Comfortable working independently on day-to-day HR execution while escalating strategic or complex matters appropriately.
  • Based in or able to relocate to the Boston, MA area, and available to work in-office full-time.
Nice to Haves
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification.
  • Experience supporting HR operations at a startup or fast-growing technology company.
  • Experience supporting immigration/visa processes for employees, if relevant to the company's workforce.
  • Experience with leave-of-absence administration (FMLA, Massachusetts PFML) and workers' compensation processes.
  • Familiarity with basic payroll processes and common payroll platforms.
  • Experience in cybersecurity, technology, or another fast-paced technical industry.
