Description

Job Summary: The Human Resources Manager serves as a strategic advisor and leader within the HR team, working closely with the Vice President of HR to drive business goals and human resources initiatives. In this role, the HR Manager is responsible for leading and managing a team while also acting as the second in command in the HR department. This individual will ensure alignment between business objectives and people strategies across various departments, manage complex employee relations issues, and oversee operational HR activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with leadership and department heads to understand business objectives and drive HR solutions that support organizational goals.
  • Address complex employee relations issues, offering expert guidance on performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Manage the recruitment team to ensure the successful hiring and onboarding of talent
  • Lead performance management initiatives, working with managers to develop employee goals, conduct reviews, and address underperformance.
  • Lead change management initiatives across the organization, ensuring effective communication, alignment with company goals, and positive employee engagement.
  • Ensure the HR department and company remain compliant with local, state, and federal labor laws. Stay informed of changing labor regulations and make recommendations as necessary.
  • Analyze and report on HR metrics such as turnover rates, recruitment effectiveness, employee engagement, and workforce diversity to inform strategic decisions.

Hours:
  • Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM
  • Onsite in office


Requirements

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage, coach, and develop an HR team.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Travel may be required as part of this role to support various Bernick's locations, events, or business needs. A Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) will be conducted as part of the hiring process and evaluated in relation to the requirements of the role.
  • Team members in this position may be required to handle, move, and work with a variety of products, including alcoholic beverages, nicotine products, pork products, and other regulated consumer goods.
