Job Title: Human Resources ManagerJob DescriptionThe Human Resources Manager promotes a positive employee relations environment while supporting a broad range of HR activities and projects. This role leads employment, staffing, recruiting, training, and development initiatives, and partners closely with management and supervisors to assess needs and implement effective HR policies and programs. The Human Resources Manager manages onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and compliance activities, ensuring that HR practices align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities- Promote and maintain a positive employee relations environment in close coordination with management.
- Coordinate employment, staffing, and recruiting activities as needed to support organizational workforce needs.
- Create, manage, and continuously improve training and development processes, partnering with management and supervisory personnel to assess training needs and recommend appropriate training policies and procedures.
- Review, evaluate, and modify existing and proposed development programs, recommending changes that enhance effectiveness and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Develop and facilitate new employee onboarding and orientation programs that provide clear awareness and understanding of company policies, procedures, operations, and employee services.
- Train supervisors and managers on effective techniques for handling performance feedback discussions, employee development conversations, and other employee relations needs.
- Manage the company's educational assistance plans, ensuring programs are administered accurately and fairly.
- Identify performance trends across the organization and recommend appropriate strategies to address issues and improve overall performance.
- Coordinate and manage the performance management process, including performance appraisals, succession planning, and individual development plans.
- Provide prompt and effective responses to employee relations issues such as employee complaints or other allegations, ensuring timely and appropriate resolution.
- Conduct investigations into employee relations matters as assigned, initiate appropriate corrective or follow-up actions, and prepare thorough documentation related to issues and outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies as well as applicable state and federal laws and regulations, supporting the preparation of required regulatory reporting.
- Actively participate in the creation and revision of HR policies and procedures, maintaining the employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
- Partner with employees and management to communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, standards, laws, and government regulations in a clear and accessible manner.
- Coordinate employee celebrations and events that support engagement and a positive workplace culture.
- Coordinate employee climate surveys, analyze results, and help develop and implement action plans to address findings.
- Conduct exit interviews to gather feedback and insights, and represent the company in unemployment matters when needed.
- Provide administrative support across HR functions, including HR administration, payroll coordination, and use of HR systems.
- Use HR systems and tools to maintain accurate records, support reporting, and enhance HR service delivery.
Essential Skills- Three to five years of HR Generalist experience or a combination of specialist experience in two or more HR functional areas.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field, or a combination of education and extended HR-specific experience.
- Strong background in employment law and government compliance regulations (preferred but highly beneficial).
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and highly sensitive information discreetly and professionally.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues.
- Ability to identify root causes of problems and make effective recommendations for resolution consistent with standards, practices, procedures, regulations, and applicable laws.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to perform varied and complex duties independently.
- Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and capability to organize and prioritize work effectively.
- Ability to interpret difficult situations and apply detailed guidelines, policies, and procedures appropriately.
- Computer literacy with solid experience using Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
- Experience working with Human Resources systems such as Paycom, HRB, and SAP.
- Hands-on experience in human resources management, employee relations, onboarding, HR administration, recruiting, and payroll.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) is preferred.
- Experience with ADP or similar HR/payroll platforms is beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with employees and management to create and strengthen a positive employee relations environment.
- Experience coordinating training programs, educational assistance plans, and development initiatives.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
