Job Title: Human Resources GeneralistJob Description
This Human Resources Generalist role focuses on providing full-spectrum HR support in a unionized, hourly workforce environment. The position emphasizes recruiting for hourly roles, coordinating key steps in the hiring and onboarding process, supporting union job posting and overtime processes, and serving as a central point of contact for employees seeking HR assistance. You will use HR systems, including Workday and other HRIS tools, to maintain accurate records and ensure smooth HR operations in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
  • Recruit and support hiring for hourly positions, including posting roles, reviewing applicants, and coordinating next steps in the selection process.
  • Coordinate interview schedules for applicants, ensuring timely communication between candidates, hiring teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Arrange and track pre-employment requirements such as drug screens, physicals, and other necessary assessments.
  • Help conduct and support new hire orientations to ensure employees receive a clear and welcoming introduction to the organization, policies, and procedures.
  • Enter and maintain training documentation in Alchemy for applicable trainings, and ensure records are accurate for non-Alchemy-based training programs.
  • Assist with union job postings and bids by posting opportunities on the bid board and ensuring compliance with established processes and timelines.
  • Potentially assist with weekly overtime posting and crewing, helping to ensure fair and efficient allocation of overtime opportunities in a unionized environment.
  • Direct employees to the appropriate HR resource or person for questions related to benefits, policies, payroll, or other HR matters.
  • Provide general administrative support for HR operations, including data entry, record maintenance, and documentation management within HR systems.
  • Support labor relations activities, including grievance resolution processes and participation in or support of union-related meetings or negotiations as needed.
  • Use HRIS tools, including Workday and other systems, to accurately input, update, and manage employee data and HR records.

Essential Skills
  • 3-5 years of experience in human resources, preferably supporting a manufacturing or food and beverage environment.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a unionized environment, including exposure to labor relations, grievance resolution, and union processes.
  • Experience participating in or supporting labor negotiations or related union discussions.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, with Workday experience preferred and some HRIS experience required.
  • Strong recruiting experience for hourly positions, including coordinating interviews and pre-employment steps.
  • Experience supporting onboarding and orientation processes for new hires.
  • Data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience providing administrative support within an HR function.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
