- Configure, implement, update and monitor all HRIS system foundational infrastructure.
- Plan, interpret and configure the county's timekeeping system.
- Learn about the database and table relationships.
- Compile data in response to data requests using the information found in the HRIS systems.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding and configure system rules to comply with all collective bargaining agreements, employment law, state benefits, civil service law and rules.
- Research applicable laws to ensure office systems and programs comply with those laws.
- Develop procedures to make sure the appropriate data is being collected and reviewed for accuracy.
The salary range reflected above is the normal hiring range for 2026.
The full salary range, for a Human Resources Advisor, including longevity pay, is $31.31 - $44.83 per hour.
The full salary range, for a Human Resources Senior Advisor, including longevity pay, is $37.75 - $54.46 per hour.

Distinguishing Features of Work Human Resources Advisor:An employee in this class is responsible for providing professional human resources work in an assigned program area. Duties include advising staff on county policies and procedures, Civil Service rules and laws, and collective bargaining agreement provisions, recruitment and assessment, benefits, classification and compensation, reasonable accommodations, performance management, business systems and records maintenance, and training and development. The work is performed under the direction of assigned supervisory staff.
Human Resources Senior Advisor:An employee in this class is responsible for administering a major program in the Department or serving as a liaison to county departments in administering their human resources functions. Duties include consulting with and advising County officials and staff on human resources best practices relating to county policies and procedures, Civil Service laws and rules, collective bargaining agreement provisions, recruitment and assessment, benefits, classification and compensation, reasonable accommodations, performance management, human resources information systems and training and development. The work is performed under the direction of assigned supervisory staff.

Selection Process MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Human Resources Advisor (Pass/Fail):- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, management, public administration, or closely related field; OR graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree and one (1) year full-time paid verifiable professional human resources experience as determined appropriate by the Director of Human Resources and Administration.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Human Resources Senior Advisor (Pass/Fail):- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, management, public administration, or closely related field AND four (4) years full-time paid verifiable professional human resources experience; OR graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree and five (5) years full-time paid verifiable professional human resources experience as determined equivalent by the Director of Human Resources and Administration.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
Note: At the discretion of the hiring authority, the successful candidate may be considered for appointment at the Human Resources Advisor or Human Resources Senior Advisor level, contingent on minimum qualifications and department need. This would be determined at the time a job offer is extended.
