THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a high-visibility HSEQ leadership role embedded in the heart of Permian Basin operations. You'll build and lead the HSEQ management system across facility and field operations - from behavior-based safety programs and incident investigations to environmental compliance and audit management. The right candidate is a proactive safety leader who drives culture, not just compliance, and can partner across operations, project teams, and external stakeholders to embed HSEQ into everything the organization does.

  • Lead, mentor, and build the HSEQ team - recruit and develop staff to cover both facility and field operations
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies across all operational activities, facilities, and projects
  • Design and execute proactive safety programs including behavior-based safety initiatives and safety recognition programs
  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis - implement corrective actions, drive a learning culture, and prevent recurrence
  • Monitor and analyze HSEQ performance metrics: LTIR, TRIR, CVIR, EIR, Safety Observations, Management Site Visits, Driver Score, and CACR
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal HSEQ regulations, industry standards, and company policies - including hazmat inventory, storage, handling, and transportation
  • Coordinate and support internal and external HSEQ audits and inspections with timely corrective action closure
  • Deliver HSEQ training programs: JSEA completion, incident reporting, root cause analysis, and other safety programs for employees, contractors, and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate HSEQ considerations into project planning from day one
  • Engage with customers and contractors to promote HSEQ awareness and build strong industry relationships
  • Develop and provide HSEQ reports to divisional management; facilitate HSEQ meetings, committees, and communications

  • Experience leading incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action programs
  • Track record of implementing behavior-based safety programs and driving measurable safety culture improvement
  • Strong command of HSEQ performance metrics (LTIR, TRIR, CVIR, EIR) and data-driven decision-making
  • Experience managing hazardous materials compliance - inventory, storage, handling, and transportation
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to serve on Emergency Response Team (fire brigade, HAZMAT, rescue, and/or first responder)

NICE TO HAVE

  • CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CSHO (Certified Safety and Health Official) certification
  • Experience in energy services, oil and gas, or chemical operations environments
  • Familiarity with audit management systems and environmental sustainability programs

WHY THIS ROLE

  • Publicly traded company with global operations across six continents
  • Actively expanding into low-carbon energy and sustainable solutions
