Lead human resources support for assigned customer groups by partnering with leaders and team members on business and people priorities. In this role, you will combine hands-on guidance with strategic HR partnership across employee relations, development, recruiting, compliance, succession planning, and organizational development to advance Hilti's objectives and priorities.

What You'll do

  • Manage and advise team leaders on employment-related matters and guide them through the resolution of workplace concerns.
  • Conduct thorough, objective investigations, recommend solutions, and follow up to support resolution.
  • Communicate with leaders and team members across workgroups to align Hilti's people philosophy with company objectives.
  • Partner with internal and external immigration resources to support work authorization processes as needed.
  • Lead and facilitate the MOMENT people philosophy by guiding leaders and team members through My Contribution, My Development, Hilti People Review, and Year End Review processes.
  • Lead, facilitate, and communicate Hilti People Review and succession planning sessions throughout the year, including system updates and follow-through on calibration actions.
  • Partner with PEO to facilitate talent management processes for domestic and international team members.
  • Manage and support the HNA Strategic Organizational Development Portfolio for assigned customer groups, including Assessment Centers and Talent Days, Emerging Leadership Development, and Internships/Co-ops, to identify and develop high-potential employees.
  • Maintain current documentation on employee matters and provide data and support to the Legal Department on employment law matters.
  • Lead, advise, and coach management and team members on performance and conduct matters to support equitable, consistent, and lawful employment actions.
  • Consult with leaders on compliance programs affecting their teams, including EEO/AA, ADA, FLMA, and WC, to support legal and corporate policy compliance across Hilti North America employment practices.
  • Review salary information and provide compensation recommendations to the HR Director and management in alignment with Hilti's compensation philosophy.
  • Participate in talent acquisition for the United States and Canada by interviewing, assessing, and selecting candidates.
  • Identify training needs and lead and implement learning and development initiatives aligned to customer group needs.
  • Partner with the People Experience Center to maintain required employment records in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Advocate for, participate in, and provide input to HNA DEI initiatives.
  • Analyze the exit interview process and follow up with departing team members for additional insight as needed.
  • Promote Hilti through virtual and in-person professional networking opportunities.
  • Guide leaders through team member engagement activities across the annual people cycle to foster an engaging and inclusive work environment.
  • Lead and facilitate engagement sessions, including Fast Leaps and GEOS sessions, and take an active role in Our Culture Journey.
  • Serve as a mentor, trainer, and coach for new HR Partner I team members, and mentor HR partners and specialists to strengthen HR and business acumen.
  • Collaborate with Centers of Excellence to execute processes and achieve shared objectives.
  • Use data to solve complex problems, form conclusions, and make recommendations.
  • Apply a continuous improvement mindset to enhance ways of working, identify connections across supported teams, and recommend process improvements.
  • Participate in, and in some cases own, key initiatives such as performance management, talent management and development, employee training, and merit and bonus administration, driving work to successful closure.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


What You'll Bring

  • This position is not eligible for employer-sponsored work authorization or visa sponsorship (including initial, transfer, or extension), and candidates must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and remain authorized for the duration of employment without the need for sponsorship.
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business, Human Resources, or Social Science, or an equivalent combination of education and applicable experience; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience at the Generalist level, or 3+ years of Hilti experience at a leadership level.
  • Human Resources certification, such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP, is a plus.
  • Extensive knowledge of current employment-related laws and the ability to interpret federal, state, and local rules and regulations related to human resources processes.
  • Leadership experience preferred; experience in a matrixed organization is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including persuasive negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to use creative and innovative approaches to problem solving.
  • Strong organizational abilities and proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Workday software or an HRIS is preferred.
  • A high level of motivation and customer focus, plus a continuous improvement and growth mindset in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership and a history of building strong internal and external partnerships.
  • Detail orientation and analytical aptitude.

Working Conditions:
  • Normal office conditions.
  • Up to 30% domestic and international travel is required.
