Responsibilities

  • Manage employee information and ensure accurate biweekly payroll processing through UKG Ready
  • Prepare regular HR reports to inform Senior Leadership on labor and employee performance metrics
  • Oversee administration of ACS 401(k) plan and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
  • Address performance issues promptly and ensure compliance with performance management processes
  • Conduct new hire orientation and develop engaging training content in collaboration with management
  • Lead the recruiting initiatives, from job postings to offer letter creation
  • Serve as the main point of contact for employee engagement activities and compliance-related processing

Description

As HR Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving change within our organization. Your objectives may be similar to:
  • Driving HR strategies to attract, retain top talent.
  • Leveraging technology and data analytics to optimize HR processes and enhance decision-making.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to create a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Assisting with driving Training initiatives and the creation of relatable training material.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Payroll & HRIS
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely maintenance of employee information and the transmission of the biweekly company payroll through UKG Ready.

HR Analytics, Reporting
  • Generating regular HR reports for Senior Leadership to assist in managing labor and employee performance.

Compensation, Benefits & 401(k)
  • Administering the ACS 401(k) plan, deferral enrollments, loan administration and ensures continuous compliance with regulations from the ACA, ERISA, IRS, DOL and other government agencies in partnership with the HR Director.

Performance Management
  • Ensuring performance related issues are addressed by Managers in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assisting in the creation and delivery of performance management processes and requirements with Managers. Providing guidance through the process to ensure compliance.

Training
  • Conducting ACS New Hire Orientation for new associates maximizing the use of the LMS system through Learner/Instructor driven training courses.
  • In partnership with the Training Manager/HR Director, creates new training content that is relatable and addresses knowledge retention.

Talent Acquisition
  • Point of contact for recruiting initiatives and ongoing needs of ACS (from job posting, interviewing, interview coordination, and offer letter creation).

Compliance
  • Point of contact for background check processing for new hires and renewals as needed.
  • Point of contact for Leave of Absence (Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, Workers Compensation, FMLA). Gathers information needed for record keeping, filing reports as needed with insurance carriers.

Employee Relations & Engagement
  • Responsible for managing the day-to-day processing of various ACS employee engagement initiatives (ACS Values Awards, ACS Quarterly Recipients, "Say Yes" Fund, Onboarding Packages, Birthday and Anniversaries).

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
  • Confidence in operating HR Technologies, including Payroll software, PMS and LMS systems and previous experience in system migration and implementation.
  • 4-5 years of previous experience in a Generalist capacity.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Federal and Multi-state employment laws, especially in the State of NJ.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field strongly preferred, HR Certification (SHRM or HCRI PHR) also strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience in a HR role, with a track record of implementing innovative solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for continuous learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others.
