SUMMARY

The Human Resources Director is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department while ensuring compliance with all applicable employment laws, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies. This position will provide operational leadership in the areas of payroll administration, employee benefits, leave management, workers' compensation coordination, employee relations, HR systems administration, and policy implementation.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on HR leader with strong technical HR knowledge, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to develop internal HR staff while building efficient and compliant HR processes across a multi-site healthcare organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Human Resources department across multiple outpatient imaging locations.
  • Ensure organizational compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and HR regulations.
  • Assist in the organization's transition from a PEO-supported HR model to internally managed HR operations.
  • Administer and oversee payroll, employee benefits, retirement plans, leave administration, and HRIS processes.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, workflows, and operational processes to support organizational consistency and compliance.
  • Serve as a resource to managers and employees regarding HR policies, employee relations concerns, performance management, and workplace issues.
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, employee transitions, and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Coordinate workers' compensation, unemployment claims, leave administration, and related employee documentation processes.
  • Maintain HR records, reporting, audits, and compliance documentation.
  • Analyze HR trends, operational needs, and workforce data to support organizational decision-making and process improvement.
  • Train, mentor, and support HR team members to strengthen internal HR operational knowledge and consistency.
  • Partner closely with leadership to support organizational goals, operational initiatives, and employee-related matters.
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion when handling sensitive employee and organizational information.

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will possess strong operational HR knowledge with the ability to independently manage complex HR processes within a fast-paced multi-site healthcare environment. The successful candidate must demonstrate experience in payroll, benefits administration, compliance, employee relations, leave management, HR systems administration, and process development.

This individual must be highly organized, detail-oriented, solutions-focused, and capable of balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution. Strong judgment, professionalism, discretion, and the ability to mentor and support developing HR team members are essential.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to build structure, improve operational consistency, and ensure organizational compliance while partnering closely with leadership to support organizational goals.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required.

Minimum of five years of progressive Human Resources experience required, preferably within a healthcare or multi-site environment.

Experience in payroll administration, employee benefits, HR compliance, leave administration, and HR operations management strongly preferred.

Experience working within or transitioning from a PEO-supported environment preferred.

SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.

Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Full-time, Exempt
