We are seeking an HR Business Partner to join our team. This is a hybrid opportunity based in our Waltham, MA office

Job Summary

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic partner to Product, Engineering, and Clinical leaders. This role aligns people strategies with business objectives by partnering with leaders to drive organizational effectiveness, talent management, workforce planning, employee engagement, and leadership capability. The HRBP develops a strong understanding of the business and leverages data, insights, and HR expertise to support decision-making and business outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary HR partner to leaders and employees within assigned business units, providing guidance on talent, organizational, and employee-related matters.
  • Develop an understanding of business objectives, organizational priorities, and operational challenges to provide effective people-related recommendations and support.
  • Partner with business leaders on workforce planning, organizational design, headcount planning, talent assessments, and succession planning activities.
  • Coach leaders on employee performance, engagement, development, leadership effectiveness, and team effectiveness.
  • Utilize workforce and talent data to identify trends, provide insights, and support business decision-making.
  • Drive and support employee performance, mentorship, recognition, and development programs that align with business objectives.
  • Partner with HR colleagues to support performance management, annual merit planning, talent initiatives, and global HR programs.
  • Leverage HR technologies, analytics, and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency, enhance insights, streamline processes, and support data-informed decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, employee experiences, and business outcomes through innovation, automation, emerging technologies, and AI-enabled solutions while ensuring responsible and compliant use.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations matters, conflict resolution, workplace concerns, and policy interpretation; conduct investigations and recommend appropriate actions when necessary.
  • Support organizational change, business growth initiatives, acquisitions, mergers, and integration activities as needed.
  • Advise leaders on hiring, promotions, organizational changes, and terminations while ensuring alignment with company policies and practices.
  • Other duties as assigned and required.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related discipline. HR certification (ie. SHRM, PHR, etc.) is a plus.
  • 6+ years' experience in HR with 3+ years specifically in an HRBP role in high-growth, global organization(s).
  • Understanding of Product and Engineering functions and the talent dynamics in these organizations preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with HR technology platforms, reporting tools, and productivity technologies, including the ability to effectively leverage AI-enabled solutions to enhance research, analysis, communication, and operational efficiency.
  • Understanding of responsible AI practices, including data privacy, confidentiality, human oversight, bias mitigation, and compliance considerations in employment-related contexts.
  • Experience managing employee relations topics and issues, working with all levels of management in coaching and working through complex situations.
  • Proficient with various computer applications, including Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to build trust with a diverse set of stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, energetic with the ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment.

This position offers a total compensation range of $105,000.00 to $115,000.00 (inclusive of base salary and variable compensation, such as bonuses and incentives). In addition, more information about Imprivata's benefit offerings can be found here. This range represents the high and low end of Imprivata's compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, such as a candidate's location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
