Group/Division
The Semiconductor Products and Customers (Semi PC) business unit designs, builds and sells KLA's product portfolio to help chip manufacturers meet high-quality standards for technologies like AI, data centers, automotive and electronic devices. Our inspection, metrology, and analytics systems detect and monitor defects across logic and memory chips, specialty semiconductors, wafers, reticles, advanced packaging, process equipment and materials. We also develop technologies for specialty processes, IC substrates, and PCB manufacturing, including etch and deposition, component inspection, and imaging and analytics. The RAPID division leads the industry in reticle inspection solutions, helping ensure high lithography yields and cost-effective semiconductor manufacturing. Its systems support both mask shops and fabs by detecting defects early in the process, enabling faster, more reliable production.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise.

Lead and evolve global electrical engineering standards, specifications, and design guidelines across a diverse facilities portfolio.

Review electrical designs for capital projects, infrastructure upgrades, and critical facility improvements to support consistency, quality, and compliance.

Guide technical strategy for power distribution, UPS, generators, transfer systems, and other critical power infrastructure.

Partner with cross-functional teams to improve resiliency, operational readiness, and long-term facility performance.

Support renewable energy and electrification initiatives, including solar, battery storage, EV charging, and utility coordination where relevant.

Translate technical requirements into clear standards, design guidance, and executive-ready summaries.

Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for Engineers who are passionate and driven to develop and release products that address unique customer needs and problems.

Required Technical Qualifications:
  • Skilled software developer with extensive experience in Python - Experience designing and implementing reusable modules and use of open-source libraries.
  • Data science background with the ability to develop high-performance computational models
  • Knowledge of Parallel computing Frameworks MPI/OpenMPI, CUDA, OpenCL.
  • Experience with creating custom exporters for observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic Search.
  • In-depth knowledge of one or more flavors of Linux: SUSE, Red Hat, Rocky, Alma, Ubuntu
  • Experience with customizing BIOS, Disk partitioning, RAID utilities, Net boot/PXE, System-D, and Linux HA.
  • Experience with few listed Configuration Mgmt utilities. (Ansible, Salt, Chef, Puppet etc.)
  • Interconnected Network configuration experience. Ex setup, customization, monitoring of InfiniBand, Ethernet, RDMA, ROCE v2.
  • Experience with Server Hardware, GPUs, Familiarity with CUDA, RAID/HBA Controllers, and Storage Technologies aggregation like Mdraid
  • Have superior understanding of x86 Hardware Platform stack, and proven track record for modelling workloads and benchmark performance.


Prefer Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of KLA processes & procedures added plus
  • Knowledge of PKI & SSL/TLS certificate management
  • Possess a strong DevOps focus: Knowledge of setting up a continuous development pipeline (Jenkins), Repository software (Git-based), Docker Containers.

Total Rewards
Base Pay Range: $136,300.00 - $199,900.00 AnnuallyPrimary Location: USA-CA-Milpitas-KLA
