Advance your career as a TeamHealth hospitalist medical director! TeamHealth has an excellent opportunity for a physician to lead our established hospitalist team as a medical director at HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital in Orange Park, Florida.
The medical director is responsible for oversight and support of all clinical and non-clinical activities provided by the hospitalist program. Other responsibilities include creating a team culture that values high performance and excellent patient care. You will also be ensuring that the hospitalists are engaged and their efforts are aligned with the quality, safety and efficiency goals of the hospital.
The medical director, along with TeamHealth support staff, will strive to maintain a strong partnership between TeamHealth and the facility, resulting in the highest quality of patient care. Other position highlights include but are not limited to: managing the program to achieve clinical, operational and financial goals, strategic planning responsibilities such as physician communications, business development, manage care strategies, and more, and participates in clinical oversight of the practice. You will take the lead in recruiting, orientation and onboarding of new hire clinicians, monitor individual hospitalist performance, provide feedback and coordinates interventions, and complete routine performance reviews, as needed. Work with the regional medical director and vice president of operations to adhere to the facility contractual requirements and operating budget and ensure client satisfaction.

Facility Description
Orange Park Medical Center is a full-service, acute-care hospital with 317 inpatient beds located in the heart of Orange Park, providing medical care to Clay County and surrounding communities. The hospital has 170 private rooms. There are nine labor, delivery and recovery room suites for new mothers and a seven-bed, Level-2 neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) for premature babies and those born with special needs. There is also a 24-bed psychiatric unit, 20-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit and 20 intensive care unit (ICU) beds. This emergency department (ED) provides 52 treatment bays with four rooms that can quickly be converted in order to accommodate psychiatric patients. The ED treats approximately 65,000 patients per year which includes the adult ED, pediatric ED, and Express Care. The length of stay is below the national average. In addition to two state-of-the-art Interventional Cardiovascular Catheterization labs, this facility has a full complement of ancillary services including 64-slice CT scan, on-site laboratory, decontamination tent, and air medical services transport are available.
