As our Hospital Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the culture and success of the hospital. This is more than an operational leadership position-it's an opportunity to create an environment where people thrive, standards remain high, and exceptional patient care is delivered every day.

Partnering closely with the Clinical Director, you'll provide visible, hands-on leadership, ensuring the hospital operates efficiently while fostering accountability, collaboration, and a positive team culture. You'll oversee the day-to-day operations, support and develop your team, drive operational excellence, and ensure compliance and quality standards are consistently met.

The Opportunity

Montclair Pet Hospital is looking for a confident, people-focused Hospital Manager to lead the operational success of one of Oakland's most established companion animal hospitals. This is an opportunity to make a real impact by creating a high-performing, supportive environment where both people and patients thrive.

Working in partnership with the Clinical Director, you'll lead the day-to-day operations of the hospital, ensuring consistency, accountability, and operational excellence while supporting the team to deliver an exceptional client and patient experience.

You'll play a key role in:

  • Leading the operational performance of the hospital, including staffing, scheduling, workflows, and resource planning.
  • Building, coaching, and developing a high-performing, engaged team.
  • Creating a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Partnering with the Clinical Director to ensure seamless hospital operations and an outstanding standard of patient care.
  • Driving compliance, quality standards, and operational consistency across the hospital.
  • Enhancing the client experience while supporting the continued growth and success of the hospital.

Experience We're Looking For

  • Hospital Manager, Practice Manager, or similar operational leadership experience.
  • A proven track record of building engaged, accountable, high-performing teams.
  • Strong operational, financial, and organisational skills with experience managing hospital or practice performance.
  • Experience driving compliance, quality standards, and operational processes.
  • The ability to build trusted relationships with veterinarians, clinical leaders, and support teams.
  • A collaborative, hands-on leadership style with excellent communication and coaching skills.
