Overview

About the Role

Performs analysis, design, and implementation on systems to solve complex problems under the direction of a Senior Hospital Applications Analyst or Principal Hospital Applications Specialist. Tests and analyzes processes according to system specifications and within established timelines. Interacts with customers, vendors and other HST/IS&T staff to identify problems and propose solutions. Conducts training programs as required.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do
  • Provides analysis, design, and support of hospital systems, including testing, training, implementation, and on-going support.
  • Works to complete project plan tasks under the direction of a Senior Hospital Applications Analyst or Principal Hospital Applications Specialist.
  • Conducts hospital system workflow analysis.
  • Interacts with end users, vendors and other related areas to gather requirements and compile data.
  • Assists in the installation of software and/or hardware. Works in concert with other HST/IS&T departments pertaining to the planning and implementation of systems to ensure that HST/IS&T standards are met.
  • Designs and develops application programs from analysis through implementation.
  • Documents, communicates and assists in problem determination and resolution.
  • Develops and maintains systems build documentation, issue documentation, and other documentation as required.


Qualifications

What You'll Bring

Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree required, with preference for Computer Science, Healthcare (BSN), Business Administration, or related field.
  • Two (2) years of progressively more responsible experience in related technology field. Direct experience with electronic medical records is a plus.
  • Must complete certification on an Epic application specified by management within 6 months of training.
  • Strong problem solving skills. Strong, detail-oriented organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills working in a service-oriented environment.
  • Effective written and oral communications a must.
  • Equivalent education, experience and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirements.

Preferred:
  • Prior Epic experience is highly desirable.

Compensation

The expected salary range for this position is PS/25S - $70,842.00 - $85,343.00 - $101,633.00 in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Law; final compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
