What is the Opportunity?CanAtom, a joint venture between AtkinsRéalis and Aecon, is delivering the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station Refurbishment Project under a collaborative contract with Ontario Power Generation. The joint venture is underway to complete the retube, feeder, and boiler replacement (RFBR) of Units 5-8. Building on the successful delivery of the Darlington Refurbishment Project, the CanAtom team brings proven experience in safely executing complex nuclear projects on time and on budget to support Ontario's clean energy future.
We are seeking highly motivated individuals to train as Holders of Record (HORs). The Holder of Record is resopnsible for coordinating and controlling work activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with station requirements.
What You'll Do Here - Ensure permits are adequate isolation for work to be performed
- Prejob work groups for work to be performed under work protection
- Look ahead to make sure permit evolutions are correctly identified
- Maintain worker initial form for work group and inform work group of all changes with regards to permit status
- Maintain daily maintenance log for work in progress
- Provide detailed turnovers for incoming holders
- Look ahead to make sure documents are correct and ready for upcoming permits
- Responsible for safety of work group with regards to the work protection provided
What You Bring to the Team- Qualified Journeyperson (mandatory requirement)
- Strong commitment to safety and operational excellence
- Strong organizational and decision-making abilities
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and coordinate multiple activities
- Nuclear, industrial, maintenance, operations, or construction experience is considered an asset.

The expected pay range for this role is $72.279 per hour
Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
