Job Summary and Qualifications

Daily oversight / performance of the histochemistry workload, including policies, procedures, and quality. Technical bench work, including routine histology, appropriate to licensure. Coordination with pathologists, anatomic pathology office, cytotechnologists, immuno-histologists, surgery department. Coordinates work assignments within the department as needed. Qualifications:
  • ASCP certification as immunohistochemistry specialist preferred
  • Histotechnologist (ASCP certified preferred) with a minimum of 3 years of hospital laboratory experience in all phases of anatomic pathology, including embedding, processing, sectioning, special stains, frozen sections
  • Two years -experience in performing multiple immunohistochemistry tests
