Position Overview
Provide specialized high school mathematics instruction to students with disabilities, adapting curriculum and instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including measurable goals, accommodations, and appropriate instructional supports.
Track student progress and provide timely progress monitoring and reporting to inform instructional decisions and support student growth.
Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student achievement and successful participation in the school environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
DESE Certification as a 5-12 Special Education Teacher OR a Master's degree in Special Education
Experience teaching mathematics to students with disabilities, including IEP development and progress monitoring/reporting; dual certification or demonstrated expertise in Math is strongly preferred
