About the Role

As a Healthcare QA Lead - ACAS Claims Testing, you will make an impact by leading end-to-end testing efforts for healthcare claims applications, ensuring high-quality delivery across business-critical claims processing and adjudication workflows. You will be a valued member of the Quality Engineering team and work collaboratively with business stakeholders, product owners, development teams, and project leadership.

In This Role, You Will:

Review business requirements, BRDs, and functional specifications to develop comprehensive test strategies and test plans.

Lead end-to-end testing activities, including test scenario creation, test execution, defect tracking, and validation.

Support requirement reviews and identify testing impacts, risks, and dependencies early in the project lifecycle.

Validate claims processing and adjudication workflows across healthcare applications, ensuring alignment with business requirements.

Facilitate defect triage meetings, manage defect resolution activities, and provide regular testing status updates to stakeholders.

Define test scope, assumptions, risks, and dependencies for project releases.

Collaborate with business, development, and project teams to ensure successful delivery and quality outcomes.

Work Model

Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week in a client or Cognizant office in Hartford, CT or Dallas, TX. What You Need to Have to Be Considered

9+ years of strong experience in the healthcare payer domain.

Hands-on experience with Healthcare Plan Sponsor programs and processes.

Experience testing the ACAS application and healthcare claims systems.

Knowledge of ClaimsXten (CXT) and related claims-editing platforms

Proven experience reviewing business requirements, creating test scenarios, and executing end-to-end testing.

Strong understanding of healthcare claims processing and claims adjudication workflows.

Experience developing test strategies, test plans, and test execution approaches.

Experience with defect management and stakeholder communication.

Strong SQL and Jira experience.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $71,100 to $112,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
